Can somebody please help me...I have run out of quests apart from the Herbalists Tasks (can't find the Ironbark anywhere after talking to everyone I think?!) and don't have enough money to go on the Deep Roads Expedition? Didn't have any problems with Dragon Age Origins?!

Thanx in advance

Ask Ilen at the dalish camp about the ironbark, and he will direct you where to go next. Walk around and speak to people, and check your 'rumors' section in the journal for additional quests you can possibly track down.

Once you've actually completed all of the quests you can, if you still don't have enough gold, a new quest called "Friends in Low Places" will open up that will let you avoid paying the gold to Bartrand while still advancing the plot.

Talk to the Dalish merchant to get the location of Ironbark. If you don't have enough cash for the Expedition, do the "Friends in Low Places" Quest. You can find that at Gamlen's House... basically, some dwarf pays the 50 gold instead, so it's a free pass in case you spent too much money.

If you did the quest, you already have the money... whatever-his-name-is sends it directly to Bartrand, so you should be all set.

If you've done the Friends in Low Places quest, go back to Hightown during the day and talk to Bartrand. You should be able to start the Deep Roads expedition once you do.

First off the only way for which I can see you not having enough money to pay for the Deep Roads expedition yourself is that you spent all your money on stuff. I've never done "Friends in Low Places" even the first time for which I played through the game. Pretty much everything for which I collected I sold off. And than once had no quest left to do except for the deep roads I paid off Bartran. Then I had time to go shopping before I left. So I went and picked up the armor upgrades for the pc, the backpack upgrades, health potions are usually my main priority and in that order.

I always make the deep roads my priority. Of course now I don't know how things pan out in the game if you do the friends in low places quest.. I do know you get some decent gold for doing it. on your own.

Actually, doing the "friends in low places" is better from a powergaming perspective. You get a little more experience and gold when you inevitably fight Dougal, as well as get more access to your gold early in the game to purchase things that disappear between acts (such as the tome from Hubert's shop in Hightown).

On one of my playthroughs I had more than enough gold to hit the Deep Roads, finished all quests that I could find and just before heading to Bartrand the "Friends in Low Places" Quest showed up. I went ahead and completed that quest which will have an update to it in Act II.

Yes but if you do the Friends in Low places Do you still end up with having your mansion?<G> I was under the impression you got less gold doing this quest. As for the Tome I usually am able to buy it, the armor upgrades and most if not all of the healing potions before I leave for dark town.
