"Two thoughts:
(1) It might help if folks could attach a text file of their system specs when reporting bugs
(2) Folks should indicate whether or not any mods are installed"

I have a problem that I can't seem to get an answer for. I'm a big fan of the DragonAge games, to the point that I up graded my CPU to be able to play them. I haven't had any real difficulties till now. My problem is this. I reciently purchased the DLC " Witch hunt" which requires me to upgrade to the 1.04 patch located here: http://social.biowar...page/da-patches . Unfortunatly everytime I have tried to use this patch, (and I've tried just about everything) the audio on the game, only, fails. Is there anything anyof you can suggest that can fix this problem? I'm running an AMD Athalon 64 CPU 4000+ 2.4GHz prossesor, 3GB RAM and Realtek AC'97 audio.
This isn't intended to be a tech support thread. It's more for posting suggestions of things you'd like to see fixed in a future patch for the game. You should consider starting a thread for your problem here instead:

Well, apart from the technical problems in part I, this will now express the buginess of Awakening.
I could make an entire list. Starting by this messed up codex page (various missing), great balance and talents issues, gift issues (Oghren, anyone), Quest issues (Rumblings from beneath and others), DLC importing issues and AGAIN: plot flag issues etc.; however, I found the wiki page for it, which depicts the issues far better than I could.
dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Bugs_%28Awakening%29
Don't forget (all bugs which _shouldn't_ be in the game):
- "Most powerful enemy slain" is blank when importing a character in the character tab. This also applies when importing to GoA or WH.
- Rune fixes www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php
- Vigilance and Valos Atredum mesh fixes. www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php There is no fix for the Valos Atredum, however this weapons' model needs to be fixed, as it faces in the wrong direction when wielded!
- Daisycutter: Wrong model used! dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Daisycutter (-> Trivia)
---------------------------------------------------
^ The above poster is right about the combat lagginess. But that's a problem with the technical site of DAO.
Also, there are various problems with the combat:
www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php and/or
www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php
Just to make life easier:

Second, if you are looking for bugs to fix how abou the Ancient Elven Armor Boots bug and DAA mine (missing all items) bug. One is just annoying, the other game breaking.

If possible it'd also be nice to see the DRM tweaked to allow for one time authorisation on DLCs since it'd remove the risk of another server problem causing days of frustration for players (and undoubted headaches for you guys).
Finally maybe adding something to PC players profiles for them to enter their system specs, that way you guys would have an easier time identifying common issues with specific hardware/drivers.
Good luck with it and congrats to RaenImrahl.

- [69442] some properties not working on weapons/armor/etc? "weakens nearby darkspawn", "messy kills", "increases hostility and intimidation", "monetary gain", "healing received" ?

- [69485] Sigrun's Joining Issues
- [69390] If you have started or completed 'Law and Order', you cannot initiate Sigrun's Roguish Past
- [69483] Velanna's Joining Issues
- [69391] Silverite Mine stealing character's equipment indefinitely
- [69392] Dworkin takes all three Lyrium sands and only counts as one for 'Bombs Away!' quest
- [69422] Templar's Heraldry turns in to Redcliffe Heraldry when used

- [69439] barrier rune tracing cannot be purchased
- [69438] the vs.creature type runes are flagged as armor instead of weapon
- [69453] Anders' gift only gives one approval point
- [69425] If you use [Esc] to stop the ending, then you read the epilogue, you get a bug that causes the "killing the Mother" cutscene to play on an infinite loop after the credits.
- [69427] Chose to execute the Darkspawn that helped save Ameranthine, yet he is shown as alive in the end credits helping others
- [69428] Even after the Warden speaks to each of the three leading figures after their taking back of Vigil's Keep, the quest 'The Awakening' does not register that Mistress Woolsey has been spoken to.
- [69429] In Rumblings from Beneath: Despite Kendrick saying he owes you a reward, and the journal reporting that he did so the quest actually gives you no reward
- [69431] In Rumblings from Beneath: Despite both quests giving you access to the hatch in the Crown and Lion, this quest is only obtainable after you finish Smuggler's Run. If you complete Law and Order this quest will be unobtainable
- [69435] Oghren's gift ratings are wrong when importing from DAO
- [69453b] Velanna's Elven Trinket approval ratings are wrong
- [69437] Manual of Focus is awarding additional skill points for imported characters
- [69448] Random Encounter map issues
- [69447] Random encounters not firing easily
- [71511] When choosing to kill the Qunari merchant "Armaas" in the Silverite Mines, he still shows up erroneously at Vigil's Keep later in the game.
There are a few other things that are issues but most of them have easy work arounds such as a quick save/load. As for anything with model/art changes: afaik these will not be getting fixed (I'll double check but that was my understanding)

Hi Luke,
can you also add this, for DAO:UE
1) DLC Achievements - the achievements (and supposedly said items) are
unlocked in our online profile, but a "semi-unlocked" status in the
game. The icon is lighted up, has a date when it was achieved, but has a
status of Locked. Some achievements don't have the icon lighted up but has a date of when it was achieved. The effect is that we have to get the achievements
again before creating a new character or loading the items to an
existing one. Once the achievements are unlocked for the nth time, then
should save those new/existing chars.
2) Autologin always have a "please try again" popping out, and have to input the pw again.
3) Can't upload characters/screenshots (not a game bug, but more of a server issue i suppose?)

Hey Luke, would it be possible to make an automatic autosave immediately after slaying the mother and the harvester?

If all those are getting fixed, it'll be a great day for all DA1 users ../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png
Yes, and to be clear, this is simply a list of issues we have on file, not a list of promised fixes. We still need to assess and investigate all of these, identify and implement potential fixes, and then test and verify any resulting changes.
This list is a very important first step, however, and we appreciate all of the help you've been providing. I know Luke has already been pinging some of you for more information about your specific issues. Save games, install logs, and config tool reports are a big help when it comes to tracking down some of the more elusive issues so please have those prepared and make them available where appropriate.
Another thing that would help is if you could verify the issues you're reporting with all community-created mods temporarily removed. Mods are great and most of them are perfectly safe but they are officially unsupported, out of our control, and can result in a range of issues that may be getting mis-reported as bugs in the game itself. As an example, on DA2, various users were reporting corrupted map interfaces after installing our recently released patch and it turned out to be tied to interference from a community created mod that added new icons to the dialog wheel. I doubt there are very many cases of this remaining on DAO but it's extremely helpful to us if you can rule that out in advance.
Thank you for your continued help and patience,
Rob

If this is indeed directed at the memory leak(or CPU) issue, then sure, it does fix it temporarily but should a consumer really have to reload their game every 30-60 minutes to have their product working to a satisfactory standard?

It's not likely to happen, mainly because savegames are probably not designed to deal with two characters, but I thought it was worth mentioning...
Edit: Oh, and speaking of consistency, maybe Leliana could be spared in the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest... At least by suppressing any deathblow in the area... Personnally, I don't mind if her head can be cut off. It's just I found some posts whining about it, so I thought it was an other unlikely (and not critical) correction to mention...
