But none is such a clear and helpful manner.

http://social.biowar...47/index/141889 <- Includes both of the solutions already on this page... with pictures.

The search feature of the website does now work properly as well.

So what? Should one do a search or camp out on the fourm a few days before they decided to help others?

Or should he appoligise to you now that he has done a helpful guide that sombody has perviously made one already?

Ok, I guess I'm an idiot cause I try to do what you guys say and I just can't get it.  I go to move the person on the blue dot to the 2nd possision I get kicked off the bridge.

You need to figure out how the mechanism works before trying. U need each slot to appear twice for it to become solid. Your job is to figure out how to keep continuity by doing that.

Can someone tell me, a 53 yr old novice gamer, how in the hell to get past the doppelgangers? I've been stuck there for 3 days. Aaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh

before asking for tactical advice, try giving more details on your party makeup.

better yet, instead of posting off-topic, make your own topic detailing your troubles and what you need to know to get through it.

... just a suggestion.

Alphakiller is right. Noone can really help if you don't provide details regarding your party setup and you'd be better off creating an own thread for that, since not many people will see your problem here...

@Alphakiller, nice signature btw. =]

And how would you know who has them without ever tetsting them. Restraining from using your wits is not witty, it's wise.

All the players on the bridge kinda confuses the pictures.  You should have did pics of the players in position for each move.  Then no explanation would have been needed.

But, good effort.

Personally I never found it that hard to do but then I don't mind puzzles.

That was my initial thought, but I concluded that party setups are really different so it would actually be more confusing when trying to reproduce it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You're welcome.

I can't believe the rude, ill manners of some of these people.  I for one thank you very much.  It was a valuable resource, and beats the solution in the GamePressure .pdf hands down.  Great work Loosemoose!

Am I the only one who actually felt like doing it myself..and not asking nor expecting any help in the process...too many people refuse the think for themselves...Its not a bad thing, your brain has a purpose beyond figuring out how to open the fridge.

No, this puzzle is not a matter of "thinking".    There's no  dicernable pattern, no logic to figure out, no mathamatical  solution  to it.  And most importantly, there's no in game hints.  Oh, and the  solution actually differs depending on which gaming platform you're playing on.

It's simply a stupid "luck"/"trial and error" puzzle with literally hundreds of possible combinations.  If given a choice between engaging in a 4 hour trial and error session  vs. coming online and getting the solution in 5 minutes, smart people choose the latter, while "patient" people choose the former.

Don't confuse the two.

how to solve puzzle:
tell party to hold position.
put guy on first square. record results on diagram.
put guy on second square. record results on diagram.
put guy on third square. record results on diagram.
etc.

study diagram.

solve.
took me about 15 minutes my first try, but that's just because the "opacity values" of the right versus the left threw me off.

the second time i tried took about 3 minutes. the location of the three double squares on the right are what really make this puzzle a cakewalk.

smart people solve the puzzle themselves. easily. impatient people go online for the solution, while patient people go for trial and error.

I get to high on yourself there kid, you might just fly away!

Done this puzzle on PS3 ages ago when I played DAO, now I have it on PC as it's much better and have a PC which runs it (And IMO, DAO is better than DA2, which I've also clocked). I'm too IMPATIENT to sit here to figure it out (again) so I googled it, and this appeared top of the list. I can't believe that people have actually moaned about this post. Good work Loosemoose, thanks for taking the time. 12 months after posting it's still helping people. :)

for this game, did not(at least, it didn't work for me(. Thanks again.

Google still lists this high among answers for this puzzle. Thank you for posting it. By the time I hit this bridge I was running out of daylight and bound and determined to reach the ashes before I logged off for sleep, but way too tired to try to puzzle through it myself. I gave it a stab anyway but after repeating the same wrong move twice because I'd forgotten what I'd just done, it was either find a guide or go to bed. ;)

As a side note for anyone else doing this one, when moving characters from one pad to another following the guide, do NOT touch any pad other than your destination pad. Walk off your pad onto the walkway and stay on the walkway until you reach your destination pad.

Thank you! I hate this puzzle with a passion, I'd rather enter the fade 30 million times.XD And that's saying something since I hate the fade.

What did you do wrong? Because I keep getting kicked off the bridge!
I've done this puzzle 100x on PS3, but now I"m playing on a Mac, and every time I move one of the other three characters, I get booted off the bridge. I can't get anywhere like this and the pieces don't stay solid once people move. HELP!

You'll thank yourself much more by figuring it out yourself, but in case you need a reference (and can endure my rudimentary diagram-making skills), try this link...

Edit:
Hm, but maybe it's an issue with the Mac version. When you move one of the characters off the circles, make sure you don't hit any other circles on their way to the next one, much less bump one of the stationary characters off their circle. Otherwise, dunno. Haven't had a Mac in decades...
