since installing Arrival i've found that the love scenes dont play correctly anymore after the main story is finished. it just goes back to shepard standing in front of the love interest, except the screen has gone all black so you can't see what you're doing. you have to get out of it by pressing x hoping that you'll interact with them again, or by pausing and reloading. so the romance is still confirmed but it skips the cut scene and leaves your screen black until you escape.
before the suicide mission however, the scenes still work. i'm currently still on firmware 1.01, not 1.02, but the scenes still played on 1.01 before installing Arrival. & i've posted this on the Gamespot forum as well, and someone with the latest firmware also confirms the problem. here's a link to the discussion;
