Aveline - punching Darkspawn deserves a special place in gaming history imho.
Fenris - he's so dramatic and then so matter of fact.
Varric - Mr Cool. Even if he is telling the story.

The rest were good but not up to those. Can I mention Flemeth? Dragons are always good.

I know the most annoying one tho', Anders. I would kill that idiot for threatening me at that moment if not for plot armor. On top of that he asks to kill templars for him to an apostate mage.

Agreed. Flemeth beats them all and I loved Morrigan's entrance, too.

But since Flemeth isn't a companion I have to go with Varric here. Aveline comes in second. And last but not least I liked Sebastian's entrance.

Aveline wins. Varric's scene is awesome, too, but Aveline just wins. Third place to Isabela.

Varric and Aveline are tied for best entrance. They wound up being my second and third favorite characters after Anders.

I want to say Isabela's, but honestly Aveline's just takes the cake.

By the way, Varric's entrance is not the "arrow twirl of awesome/here's your pouch" sequence, it's being dragged into Hawke's Estate by the guards to speak with Cassandra, which is still pretty awesome given his exaggerated intro to the story!

Most boring? Any male companion's entrance aside from Varric.

(I have to say, I have never really been that big a fan of any of Bioware's male companions, with the exceptions of Alistair and Varric. *ducks*)

Merrill just kinda walked into the screen. Dammit Merrill you're a mage, jazz your entrance up a bit.

If you didn't know who Isabella was prior to playing DA II, her entry basically tells you what sort of gal she is.

Definitely Varric first, always puts a smile on my face. Isabela and Fenris after that for me. I do like Merrill's though, it might not be flashy like the others but the dialogue and everything just made me beam.

Aveline, Varric, and Isabella all have great entrances. Varric's and Isabella's are just cool, but Aveline's does a good job of keeping with the tension of the moment while kicking butt.

Merrill's is overshadowed by the actual quest she's introduced in. Sebastian's was overly dramatic.

Isabela's my favourite. And she has a cool theme song.

Aveline's was cool but between the actual game and the demo, I've started so many characters I just don't get the same kick out of it anymore.

Most of them were very well done and I actually like the Merrill one. There was an instant mystery behind her due to her actions. (I'm assuming she was messing with a mirror shard when you 1st meet her.)

I'm surprised that so many people liked the Fenris one.  I rolled my eyes at the old heart grab thing.  Why the hell didn't he do that to every enemy?

I would say the Varric bit, I love the whole part with Hawke and sibling walking. Noticing that the money is gone. Enter Varric!! I love that entire bit all the way from nagging at Bartrand to recruiting Varric =)

Um, I seem to be in the minority here, but I loved Anders' entrance. I never loved him more than I did when I first went into the clinic and saw him healing the little boy (clearly the little boy that one of the female refugees was talking about earlier in Lirene's shop), and it took so much out of him.

It was one of the only companion introductions that wasn't like, "Whoo, look at me! <stylish hair-toss in slow motion>"
