I think it's more about balancing weapons so none/few of them will feel weak or utterly useless compared to the rest.

Also, hopefully that location listed is Klencory, or one of its moons.

Im very interested in all this new and different vehicle implementation they keep talking about and how its not part of the "critical path." The scans are awesome by the way, there are some very interesting new locations shown. Im liking the sound of this even more intense combat than ME2 and how it will actually take place on realistic open environments instead of cover filled corridors.

I like the sound of all of that, except I have a problem with this supposed "Heavy Melee class".

First off, let me state that i like the new Melee stuff, but my problem is this:

Melee class sounds quite a bit redundent to Vanguard and the increased focus that EACH class is supposedly getting in Melee already. This is the only thing Ive had a problem with in the ME3 news thus far, and I dont usually nit-pick.

A tenth class would throw them all out of whack, seeing that each of the 9 existing classes spread Combat, Tech, and Biotic class focus evenly.

I think this is a slight symmantic error, and its more like a specilization or something, at least i hope:)

I'll wait with the judgment until there's more info about the class, but I'd imagine that it has weapon slots for every weapon just like the rest.

Sorry, have you read my post?  :)

Everything is weapon worth of wielding, for every weapon there is a enemy. You can`t blame pistol for it`s inefficiency against M1 Abrams, or shall i say, M-8 Avenger against a reaper?

There is some certain people that think if you wield M-8 whole life you are commando, "Mattocks are for noobs". That is not quite correct, commando wields pistol when it suited mostly, and uses C4 shaped charge to blew bridge/enemy aircraft away.

Why Bioware are you even looking at Max Payne games as a idea for ME 3. what the hell is the idea of rolling . so Shepard can roll around the battlefield now. so Cerberus has all these bad ass weapons and Shepard can not side with them at all makes no sense. yeah Bioware you have watched Raiden in MGS 4 and anime too much

I hadn't seen any issue with it until you pointed that out. Yeah, does seem a bit unnecessary, hopefully it's as you hope.... which is terribly redundant, but you see my point.

Not quite correct. NEWLY DISCOVERED prothean ruins, coupled with Harbinger at your side showing local *cough* cultural feats and technologies.

As long as I'm able to headbutt a charging Krogan with them new melee moves, I'll be happy.

Okay. I fail to see how anything of that has anything to do with Mass Effect, a video game, but okay.

Sounds good, can't wait to see the game in action ....E3 Needs to hurry up, or will we get another pre-lude to E3 vidoc like we did with ME2?

Maybe its one of those things where you get the original class (Soldier, Vangard etc.) then you can pick out of maybe 3 different sub classes to specialize in... idk but that would be kind of cool...

That sounds like either the worst idea, or the best idea.

I'm actually glad they're focusing more on melee, because just shooting guys gets boring and repetitive after a while.

Yes, Vanguard was close combat class in ME2, but many people who like play as vanguard won't like it to become melee class. In same time some people [me included] want more elaborated melee. So devs decided to compromise and make a separate class.

Visiting London and New York might have been either a misinterpretation or mistranslation between Hudson and the interviewer. I believe Hudson is giving out the same general information to all his interviews, but with maybe some small new info here or there. Hudson pretty much said in Gameinformer that we will be seeing these cities being destroyed and then Shepard looks out a window and sees the Reapers coming at them at their location. Plus, Gameinformer said that shortly after the Reapers attack that Shepard fights back to the Normandy and then flees off, probably to Mars because he sees that the fight for Earth is already lost. I don't see how we can visit many of the Earth's cities with that kind of information.

Perhaps i was not quite correct about all this.

You want for everything to be challenging, right? Guns must be equally useful, as you said "I think it's more about balancing weapons so none/few of them will feel weak or utterly useless compared to the rest."

i just put to a real life`s rails, and trying to tell that if you want to be realistic, than you`ll have this kind of balance.

My point - there is always something that render other something useless, and if we want it to be more real or compared to other shooters as Bioware dev`s are saying... well...  being obvious, rocket damage>pistol one and one will be always more useful than the other.... :)

Okay, who in hell have said that we're going to fight a 500m-2km long monster on foot and shoot it with our handguns and assault rifles? Because that's just retarded.

Lets get real then. If Bioware says they want ME 3 to be more real. thats fine but in real life Shepard would have a choice to either side with Cerberus or the Alliance. Sorry Bioware ME 3 is just a game with a worse plot than the Matrix movies had

Being a New Yorker knowing that Shepard will visit  the big apple is the best news I heard yet. I am really looking forward to seeing how the folks at Bioware envision New York in the future.

I'm curious as to how it looks too... But being a manhattaner myself and seeing just about 80% of all sci-fi fliks and games taking place in NYC, I sincerely hope that setting won't be a major plotpoint... leave it as a pitstop, more or less.
