Yep, the translation is accurate: I know Spanish since I happen to live in Mexico, unfortunately. But yes, the translation's good.
SWAT turns?
A SWAT turn is when you quickly move from one cover to another while trying to not be seen.

I wonder if the mars visit will have the Protheans ruins maybe they will have something to do with liara saying the shadow broker was looking for more prothean stuff to fight the reapers
Epic foreshadowing if that's the case.

I will wait before I get hype though.

Honestly, I'd be incredibly surprised if Mars didn't have something major to do with those prothean ruins. Like... incredibly surprised. I can't emphasize this enough.
Mix in some 'Mars is the last major bastion of mankind' buzz a la Babylon 5 and count me the heck in.

I have to say it has crossd my mind from time to time that maybe the protheans who made back to the citadel from ilos could have set that base up somehow because there are hints in mass effect 1 that they were watching humans for a long time with the story the relic that the consort gave us the key for

Sounds like they keep talking about their combat improvements. Once again it seems they've overdone it with too many action/shooter elements. I've yet to see as much detailed information about the "strengthening" of the RPG elements as they have on combat. Every screen is a new corridor with pew pew targets. GoW 3 is going to be coming out soon, and it's a much better third person shooter than ME. I play ME for the RPG, not the shooter Bioware. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one. Give us some information on the RPG systems besides telling us that you're working on it.

I have to say, they spent so much time hyping the combat in ME2 that I'm wishing they had the same enthusiasm hyping the ramped-up customization in ME3.
Other than that, though, I saw two new concepts for two different places in the mag, and I have to say, they look gorgeous. I'm guessing the art team on ME3 is having a blast designing all of the different architectural styles for the various homeworlds? It all looks very Mass Effect-y; also nice to see they're emphasizing lens flares in several of the pics. Makes me hopeful that they've locked onto the elements that made the franchise so iconic in the first place... lens flares (as part of the visual style), epic electronic scores, the retro sci-fi atmosphere, the musical ambience, etc. Apart from a few nitpicks, these articles have me pretty pumped about ME3.
Edit: and engineers can set up turrets now? Wonder how that'll work. We won't be pulling turrets out of our *** in the field, will we?

Indeed.
It seemse like a return to its roots, while still keeping the improvements they made in ME2 and improving them even more.
I am cautiously optimistic.

Now that I'm thinking about it. Rolling+Adrenaline Rush = Max Payne bullet time lol
Or +speed on the game, rolling, bullet time, larger scenarios. Mass Effect goes Vanquish?
What? Conviction was sweet.
.
The magazine says it will go for cover like Max Payne, which is wierd because there is no cover is his games. I guess it will be more like Gears of War, where you can go from cover spot to cover spot. Or Spliter Cell Conviction, which has an amazing cover system, to bad the rest of the game sucked.

Okay so because of a new scanning system, which replaces the old grindfest one mind you... your hype level falls to zero. Wow I guess you don't like any game then which tries to improve its boring sections into something more engaging <_<

I play Mass Effect for the complete package, so any news is good news. Combat is just as important to me as deeper RPG elements, though it would be nice to hear a little more about them. I'm sure we'll know more soon, probably at E3.

Or brawling/martial arts? Swords are too cliche 'n cheesey, and would not fit in the ME universe.
Swords and knives ignores the kinetic barriers, so it actually makes sense that some people would use them.

I instantly thought of this as well when I heard we would be going to Mars. I doubt BioWare would pass up such an epic oppertunity to delve back into some Prothean history.

Marca Player, as some people said before.
I deleted the links to the "scans" to no break the forum rules. Sorry.

Visiting London and New York might have been either a misinterpretation or mistranslation between Hudson and the interviewer. I believe Hudson is giving out the same general information to all his interviews, but with maybe some small new info here or there. Hudson pretty much said in Gameinformer that we will be seeing these cities being destroyed and then Shepard looks out a window and sees the Reapers coming at them at their location. Plus, Gameinformer said that shortly after the Reapers attack that Shepard fights back to the Normandy and then flees off, probably to Mars because he sees that the fight for Earth is already lost. I don't see how we can visit many of the Earth's cities with that kind of information.
This is what I think about London and New York (and Tokyo), but maybe we can play a little bit in London, or where the game begins to escape from the attack.
In the GI scans there is a screen with some reapers attacking some kind of moon (maybe that quarian moon). That Reapers don't have a big size compared with the buildings they're attacking which you can see in the screen, they look like "baby" reapers, with not a big size to have 2km.

Yes. If you dump the Arrival Spanish TLK file, you'll see the name used there is "Heraldo".
