I have finally got round to starting a NM solo run. And man the going's tough.
I went with Dwarf Commoner (rogue), and I've only just finished the origin story.
I found a neat little tactic for dealing with mobs of two - backstab from stealth and then stun one with dirty fighting, backstab them until they recover, ignoring the second while they strike you (as long as you're positioned so they're not backstabs), run away until dirty fighting has recharged and repeat. Mobs of three of more may require a bit of running away to split the mob up as much as possible. This tactic saw me through the whole origin story baring the Proving.
Now, smug as I'm feeling to have found such an exploitable tactic, it did start to feel quite cheesey - almost like cheating, especially when dealing with Berhat himself. Not to mention it took ages. But I can think of no other way of beating him on such an early level.
Still, I'm glad to have reached Ostagar. But does anyone have any general tips on dealing with mobs on a NM rogue solo that doesn't rely on luring and kiting until your abilities recharge? Or are they pretty much the only way I'll get through it? Most of the NM solo threads here that I've seen talk about big boss battles rather than mobs and general tips...
Any tips for a DW rogue nightmare solo run?

Whirlwind = lifesaver.
If you are going to solo you are going to be mobbed by like 6 enemies at once half the time, im thinking medium armour and very high dex will save your life - and certain mages will cause problems.
Crushing prison and curse of mortality are both deadly ones commonly used by mages.
As for specs... im thinking maybe duelist/assassin, or duelist/ranger if you accept summoned allies as still solo.
