If DA3 is in Orlais will you still play it?

1. We don't play as a Ferelden again.
2. They actually put enough people in Val Royeaux so it doesn't look like hardly anyone lives in the capital city of the most powerful nation in Thedas

Yes please!
Seriously though, would anyone really not buy DA3 just because it's set in Orlais? Seems a bit extreme.

But I would still play it

If Orlais was peopled by multiple Isoldes and the de Launcet family, then it might just push some people to the brink. Personally I'd just mute and use subtitles if it was that bad.

And I'd be fine with that.

See, normally even my characters that might be termed "evil" are of the more intelligent, calculating variety than the omnicidal maniac variety.
A nation of Isoldes and de Launcets will turn them into the latter without fail.

If they set the game in Orlais, they'd (probably!) drop the accents and handwave it as "everyone is speaking Orlesian, so you don't discern an accent".
And I'd be fine with that.
It's a bit lazy, but I could accept that. It's a good workaround. After thinking about it, I'd rather have this than all the Orlesians still talking with a stupid accent for no reason.
Sweet Maker, I'm already starting to link to TVTropes for my points. I've only started going there last week!

Also, you do realize that Leliana's VA (and other Orlesians, I believe) are French Canadian VAs? So the accent is actually real.

Of course, assuming they change stuff from DA2, I am not North American so I can not/will not understand all the french hate around here :-/
I can't speak for anyone else, but for me personally, it's not the French I hate, it's the atrocious "French" accent that most VA's use for Orlesian characters in the game. Leliana's accent was okay, but just about everybody else.../vomit.
That said, yes I would play the game if it's in Orlais, but I am hoping to be able to explore other areas as well. Hoping that they will go the polar opposite for DA3, in that instead of limiting us to one city and surrounding suburbs, we might be able to go to several countries in DA3!

I'd rather want to explore Antiva as an Antivan but Orlais would work too... unless there is another "Teeaguunnn!" type of person.

Maybe they made her completely annoying so we wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice her?

They already play really fast and loose with the accents, anyway. Orianna and Talesin were both from Antiva... but had english accents. The Ferelden Warden you find in the Architect's lair was Orlesian... but also had an English accent. And then there's that escaped mage form DA2 who, despite having been separated from his orlesian parents at the age of six and raised in the tower all his life, somehow has an orlesian accent, anyway.Amagoi wrote...

So I'm hard pressed to take accents in the DA games all that seriously.

Never was a fan of dog-country and guttural accents. Not that a "French" nation is precluded from having such things, but those aspects already defined Ferelden...so I hope Orlais will be proven to a swing in a different way.
Really, I'll take anything that gets us out of the repetitive drabby squalor from the first 2 games. Please, let it be something that's easier on our eyes.

Face it, I'm pretty sure DA3 will be about war between Orlais and Fereldan, mixed in with Morrigan's sprog, Flemeth drama and mages and Templars at each others' throats.

Seriously though, it would be pretty cool to play a campaign in Orlais, but I'm a little more interested in the Tervinter Imperium myself. Now playing there would be pretty cool imo
