DLC for Dragon Age: 2 - No

Waiting for reviews, board opinions and demo - and a month - before even thinking about purchasing any future Bioware product. Yes

They would have to come up with another Stone Prisoner. The best DLC there was in my opinion.Shadow Broker wasn't bad but Shale was the best NPC in my all but humble opinion. The pigeons might disagree but I believe they are bias.

Haha same. I feel like the price given for DLCs will not be worth it, unless there is universal acclaim on certain DLCs. If an Ultimate Edition does come out with like an expansion pack or something, then I'll buy it eventually. For now, I'll just pray a toolset will come out, so I can put my Signature Edition to better use.

Possibly. I would consider it, I love the Dragon Age world enough to always look at new stuff with interest. Perhaps a bit more cautiously than if everything had gone absolutely 100% smoothly since the original DA:O but for sure I would take a look and consider it. I can't fairly judge what I haven't seen after all.

No, I wouldn't even consider spending more money on a game in which I could find little connection to anything with the story and characters in DA2. Also, as much as I loved Origins, I bought Awakening and nearly all of their DLCs on the premise of the adding depth to the story and immersion I got from Origins. Most of them were a huge mistake and a waste of my money. Considering I cannot even fathom giving DA2 a passing thought at a third run, I would be more than just deluding myself with hope that I would somehow get something more from it with DLC.

If the DLC's recycle the same areas AGAIN, I certainly wont buy any of them... If it will be brand new area, I will consider buying it.
As for DA3 I will wait and see what they plan to do with the series and how much time do they want to spend on developing it. If I like what I see, I will definately buy it, I still really love the world and lore.

I wish I could share the same enthusiasm as you do. But, for me it's so much done. The elve's art styel were one of my favourite in DO same goes with the Darkspawn. In DA2 they look just awful and not much authentic almost like a cartoon style. The Elves just looks like a morph of nosferatu+avatar+ratman.

The whole game is presented in a more cartoonish style... That is one of the things I hope they might change back to the DAO style. I still remember the feeling of dark-fantasy world with death and injustice everywhere when I started playing DAO. I had nothing like that with DA2. It was there, but covered with this cartoonish style and I think because of this it lacked the depth (or soul, however you want to call it) for me.

This^ for multiple reasons. And yes, the cartoony Anime style can go (I like my anime in my anime, not DA, especially the oversized swords).

Absolutely true. No Final Fantasy sugar in my Dragon Age coffee, please. Just doesn't taste good.

Ain't dat de truth?  Blech!  And yes I would pay for DAO dlc too. I do love the DA universe and its lore. But I admit to being dubious. Once bitten, twice shy.:?

I intend to get as much DLC as for any other game.

Zero.

DA2 does not inspire me to buy DLC, neither did DA:O (I'm not even interested in Ultimate), and neither did ME2.

I hope for DA3 and I do hope they deliver complete stories with their games, and don't continue the way of ME2.

depends, i would love more dlc, i liked da2, but if witch hunt is anything to go by with biowares lacklustre dlc record (dragonage not mass effect) i will be approaching with caution

Nope. I refuse to pay for something that should have been in the game to begin with. I felt pretty jipped with DA2.

I agree...I feel I already paid way too much for what content was given.  At least with DA:O I got my money's worth and then some.  If the DA2 DLC was on par with RTO or TSP, then perhaps...but I seriously doubt it would be.  They put more into those two DLC than they did in DA2 imo.

That is also my problem with DA2 dlc. Or rather for my husband as he bought it for me as my birthday present. I guess I don't feel the sting to my wallet as much as he does.

Nope. I'll echo similar sentiments in that I already feel like I paid too much for too little.

I'd love to see a strong expansion pack if the BioWare team working on DA 2 can get their act together.

Hawke is a pretty likeable character.

But RTO and TSP were quality DLCs, to a "quality" main game that was just filled with lore, immersion and customizations, along with the a whole range of my imaginative creativity the game allowed for me, just to name a few. Even though they made quality DLC like RTO, how would similar quality DLC for DA2 make it a better game or experience, when the taste of the DA2 experience  seems to have been worse than if I had imbibed a whole bottle of Angostura bitters.

If Vale's DLC is any indicator, no. It played pretty much like DA2 did--barely any new content or plot development. Just some whiny guy who has a crying session every now and then. Bor-ing.

At this point the DLC in question would have to be built with an entirely different game philosophy closer to DAO in terms of character/plot development for me to buy it. It would probably have to feature more character interaction and plot development than, say, about 5 or 6 "major" side quests put together. In other words, it would have to be an implicit admission that dumbing this game down with less plot and/or character development was a big mistake.  By contrast LoTB is a well designed addition to ME2. Both are made in the same spirit--well polished action/rpg.

That might happen--it's possible--but unlikely. The winds have pulled this game to a different direction and it will be hard to put out a DLC whose main advertising feature is that it overshadows the actual game.

I'll judge any DLC on it's merrits, but it will have to be pretty spectacular to get me to fork out more money for this game.
As for DA3, I'd be willing to give it a chance if it looks like Bioware have reversed some of their "streamlining". But I don't think I'll be pre-ordering it.

He bought it for you for your birthday? What a cruel, cruel man. Did you tick him off somehow? lol ;)

Seriously, Im in agreement about quality of DLC's. Its rarely there, and just crap piled upon crap is released. I said it before, for every good DLC, there are a hundred crappy ones. With that ratio I would prefer them to just concentrate on games, and do the ol' expansion packs, and "Gold/Diamond/Ultimate" releases.

Be like NWN1. Main game, then two expansions. Like that better than piddly DLC;s.

Yeah, I'll most likely buy any future DLC for DA2. (Unless it's something along the lines of the Feastday DLCs, then I'll pass) Unlike most, I've been content with DA2 and can't wait for the DA universe to be expanded even more.
