That is also my problem with DA2 dlc. Or rather for my husband as he bought it for me as my birthday present. I guess I don't feel the sting to my wallet as much as he does.

He bought it for you for your birthday? What a cruel, cruel man. Did you tick him off somehow? lol ;)

Seriously, Im in agreement about quality of DLC's. Its rarely there, and just crap piled upon crap is released. I said it before, for every good DLC, there are a hundred crappy ones. With that ratio I would prefer them to just concentrate on games, and do the ol' expansion packs, and "Gold/Diamond/Ultimate" releases.

Be like NWN1. Main game, then two expansions. Like that better than piddly DLC;s.

ROFL! He thought it would be a nice gift, a true sequel to something I stole from him (maybe he was getting back at me for that) *snort*.  Nah,  he felt bad.

I most definitely want more DLC's for both DA:O and DA2.

The main reason for wanting DA2 DLC's, is to see what they can do to turn this game around. I paid good money for a follow up to DA:O that is mediocre at best. I enjoyed the game, but not nearly as much as I wanted to, and definitely not early as much as I enjoyed DA:O.

I want DA2 to improve, therefore I support future DLC's.

It depends on the quality and length and type of dlc.

First they'd need to fix the bugs, improve the environments(serious overhaul) and add more content for free.(boost morale)

Secondly they'd need to release a solid workable toolset.

Last but not least abandon(for the most part) weapon/armor dlc and pathetic micro dlc and get back to making fully(FULLY) committed expansions.

They do the above and they'll be back on track.

Oh almost forgot, it would seriously help EAwares cause if they went somewhere with this series instead of keeping us guessing only to start a new character the next time around. =]

They'd have to do some serious overhauls to nearly everything in DA2 (especially character creation mode and the map/environment system) for me to even consider paying more since I regret ever paying for DA2 and DA Ultimate to begin with.

Yes if it's story content and looks anywhere near as good as Lair of the Shadowbroker or Stone Prisoner. No if it's a weapons/outfits pack, or looks as good as Witch Hunt.

What, you wouldn't spring $10 for a feastday gift-pack? +50 friendship/rivalry in one fell swoop saves a lot of time!

I'd pay for this one though:

LOL! NO!

I'd pay a lot for a good player made MOD though, if it fixed this game! Perhaps a DA:O mod which reconstructs DA2 story in Origins way!

Definately NOT buying any add-ons for DA2, already regret the money I spent for it. As for sequels, that remain to be seen. I certainly won't blindly pre-order DA3 though

I would buy DLC and new adventures for Origins. DA2 I won't touch with a 10' pole.

It depends.

If Bioware goes true to its roots and returns to DAO style, then yes.

If it continues with DA2 style, Absoluteley Not!

EDIT: And, regardless of which direction it takes, if Mike Laidlaw is at the helm, then i will be very wary, and will probably buy it pre-owned.

I don't think DA2 can change significantly enough in a DLC. While the encounters and the quests could be improved upon, the gameplay/combat would still be simplistic, silly and cartoony.

Like many others, I will very patiently consider purchasing any future Bioware title from now on. Not going to fall in the Signature Edition trap ever again. It was a one off. :(

Never this side of hell.

I disliked the direction DA 2 took immensely and I don't think DLC would be able to fix the core problems with the direcion the franchise has taken. Based on the quality of DA 2 I don't think DLC will be of any significant improvement particularly if the DLC of Origins is anything to go by, some of which was shoddy and a cheap attempt to cash in. The only ones which were of any quality were Stone prisoner and return to ostagar, whilst warden's keep was fun, but didn't add a lot and Leliana's song is a prime example of reconting the story with complete disregard to the lore previously established and was repeated again in DA 2.

Considering they have still have issues with bugs, ME3 and TOR is in development I think they have their plateful and I wouldn't get my hopes up for any quality DLC on the scale of ME2's overlord and Lair of the Shadow broker.

Well, I would like BioWare to decide that I, the wonderful Yellow Words, should get everything for free but since I don't see that happening: Yes. If the DLC's sounds fun or looks interesting I would definitively spend more money on this game.

I suppose my strongly worded suggestions that posting spam images in lieu of actual discourse were not sufficient.

Let me be even more succinct. Continue to do so and earn a ban. I'd like it if we kept a certain level of discussion on these boards, and image posting or youtube linking are the antithesis of reasoned debate.

Moreover, let me remind you all that personal attacks and insults, whether against other posters or developers, are not allowed on these forums, and putting them in a spam image does not exempt you from that rule.

Of course I don't WANT to...
But there always will be that stupid voice in the back of my head telling me that this could make everything better.... and to remember that the DLC in Origins was awesome...
So regardless of how I feel about it, they will have my measly $5... It's only $5.
