I installed arrival today, played normally then wanted to check my achievments and realized that many of them were gone. Gone me finishing the game on hardcore or insanity, gone me having found true love with Tali Na Zora Vas Normandy, gone me being able to make X Technical upgrades etc...

Any way to fix it other than replay the game?

look for the player1.prf in MyDocuments\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Profile\\
right click on it and restore previous version. Of course you would loose all Achievements made since the last restore point made for that file.

tried it, but seems this file was already corrupted, probably due to me moving the game from one comp to the other with a reinstall, now to check if I have a backup. :-)

All restored now, thanks to you. Apparently, silly me transferred the saves but NOT the profile after I installed the game on new comp.

Doing da happy dance now!
