Well, since Kaidan/Ashley pretty much ended whatever they had going with Shepard in ME2, I cannot imagine them blaiming him for cheating. You may argue, that they didn't really end it, they only argued and disagreed with his affiliation with Ceberus. You may even argue that they'd moved on after Shepard being dead for two years, or argue that said death may have set the emotional confused stage at Horizon, disqualifying anything they said. But no matter what, I'm guessing there will be a "reconquering" romance for the cheaters.

This seems the ideal thread to ask this, but I noticed that if you end things with Miranda post suicide mission, it causes the photo of your ME1 LI to appear just as it would pre-suicide mission.  The difference is that the Miranda romance reached its *cough* climax, so would it still count as having 'cheated' on your ME1 LI?  Maybe it's a way to have your cake and eat it too?

Am I the only one who not only thinks they won't do this but thinks stuff like this is dumb? I mean I'm all for humor and all that but stuff like this is kindda stupid. JMO

Personally, this is a feature I strongly dislike.

You only had the choice of Liara or Ashley in ME1, in ME2 neither one is an option, so why punish me because the game was designed to "Make me cheat on my ME1 LI"?

Especially since it was really easy to get railroaded into Liara and really hard to end up with Ashley.

Oh I don't really expect more than harsh words or minor shifts in loyalty.

well, you are certainly not expecting some LI "cheating" to influence the reaper war outcome.

aaah, this keeps on croping up again and again. this is my theory,becasue I relaly hope Bioware goes back to characters acting in character and doesn't suddenly decide to turn the whole deal into Jerry Springer episode.

if you move on in ME2, you
1. lose a chance to get back together with your ME1 LI
2. Lose all but mission essential dialogue (as in, they feel hurt and don't want to be friends, but are professional and realize that reapers need to be defeated, so you just don't get to have personal chats anymore)
3. you might have an extra discussion with new LI, just to make sure everything is fine between you.

if you stayed faithful - you get continuation of the romance, extra persona dialogue and maybe extra cut scenes/something similar to ME2 's calling up your LI to your cabin.

if you start jerking both around, ala ME1 love triangle thing? they confront you and if you don't make a choice - they BOTH leave and you lose both relationships.

this is what I personally would prefer to see anyways.

edited to add.  while Horizon was sloppy, it wans't completely out of character, Ash/Kaidna were pretty justified in their anger, it hasn't been 2 years for Shepard, it was only few months (you were uncontious for all that time, so its not like you actualy felt its passage) and both of them show in their letters that they are not over you andif you wished to get back together?  they would be open to it.

I'd like to see this, and also some tension between the two love interests.  Not catfights or open warfare, but things not being exactly comfortable between them.

Indeed.

Mmm yes there can even be a sparing ring for the ensuing fight. Ashley vs. Miranda would be good, have Joker leave some raw materials for them to fight in. Heck doesn't matter all the L.I.s should have to duke it out Mortal Kombat style for Shepard.

So true. I was going for Ashley the whole time, then ended up with a LI Liara and a dead Ashley wondering how the hell that happened(sorry had to save Kaidan! lol)

I just finished one playthrough (my 'what would shepard do' playthrough) where I romanced Ash in ME1, figured in 2 yrs she moved on so I romanced Jack in ME2 and she died on SM (I Tried killing Garrus but idk in what order they die for force field part) Then I thought hm I wonder how thats gonna take affect, I would prefer to stay single because my shepard 'loved' Jack but still whats Ash gonna do? kick me while im down,, xD
