How do i enable a disabled map note that's in another area..
so for example:
i ask for directions inside a building to somewhere in town that has a disabled map note
i get directions (this is where i need to enable the map note in the conversation)
OR
do i need to do it another way?

The script that would enable the mapnote must be activated in the same area as the script when it fires for it to work.
SetMapPinEnabled(object, int)

I have not tested this as i have always been in the same area. If, as Morbane says, that is a prerequisit then you could try attaching a local int in the conversation (or journal update) you could then update the map note using a script on the on enter slot for the area or in a trigger in the area close to the entry point. It depends on how often you want to do this.
If that fails then give a journal update with good dirctions in it and let the PC work it out for them selves

You should be able to access any object in any area in a module as long as you are in an area in that module. So I'm surprised that you cannot enable the map pin from another area if both areas are in the same module and the map pin has a unique tag. But I generally enable map pins using triggers in the same area and haven't ever tried to do otherwise.

@ Kaldor... script didn't work, so i tried the 'enable map note trigger' that didnt work either ? What trigger do you normally use?
All my map notes have unique tags. and i'm using the 'unabled' map note markers, as it says in their properties to use the trigger to enable them.

I just made a little test convo and that mapnote can be turned on and off with ga_mapnote.
I would check your tags to be sure you are trying to turn on the right one. Once the tags are right the stock scripts and triggers have been pretty stable for me.
