If it was between Earth and the rest of the Galaxy, I'd sacrifice it in a heartbeat. Eden Prime IMO is ready to be the real symbol of humanity, should Earth fall.

For my main shep based off of me, only if there was no other choice in order to stop the reapers. For my other shep whos pro-human and anti-alien, he would rather see the galaxy burn and have humanity die fighting the reapers instead of sacrificing earth for the rest of the galaxy.

I'd do it for a Klondike Bar.

The best reason.

I think I only have a few of my playthrough Shepards that wouldn't sacrifice Earth. It would be easier for my Renegades to do, certainly, but in the end most of my Shepards know that the Galaxy outweighs one planet.

For me it's a matter of 'How long would it take me to press the button?' and 'Would I be able to forgive myself?' rather than 'Could I do it?'

I'd destroy Earth in every playthrough if I had the option, same with a few other planets if it's possible.

A worthless overpopulated rock is a worthless overpopulated rock.

Since my main Shepard is Renegade (and fully supports the Illusive Man :D) I would never let Earth die unless all of humanity would die if I didn't.

If necessary, yes. It's not preferable but in these sort of situations we take what we can get. If that is Earth's fate so be it, I'm not about to spite every other living being in the galaxy just because my house went all Extreme Makeover: Reaper Edition.

Whatever I'm sacrificing Earth for would have to be pretty damn important. Like, entire galaxy important. I wouldn't do it for the Citadel, and I wouldn't do it for any of the alien homeworlds. I'm fighting for the galaxy in general, but for Earth specifically.

Born out in the colonies, earth really doesn't mean anything to me, just stuff they taught in school and seen in movies. so probably

Population of Eden Prime: 3.7 million

Population of Earth: 11.4 billion.

Earth is where over 99.99% of all humans live. No way am I sacrificing Earth

With hesitation, I would do it.

I can't think of many Shepards that would have close ties to Earth.. even Earthborns are eager to get away from their past. The future of humanity lies in the colonies and we're a resilient race that can always bounce back.

Earth down the list for me past my Miri, my buds & the Galaxy. If i can't save it and it has to take one for the team then i'll have a drink for it with Chakwas just the same as Kaidan, Jenkins and Pressley.

My Paragon Shepard could never sacrifice a planet like that. Not if it's populated. If it's already more or less destroyed, well ... not as big a dilemma then. But he wouldn't sacrifice populated planet.

My renegade Shepard would, if it meant saving the galaxy. Even if it's heavily populated. She's not really attached to her home, anyway.

Well what i can see happening is us perhaps having the choice - or maybe not having the choice - to sacrifice Earth while Shepard goes around the galaxy rallying up all the other races for a huge fight against the Reapers. We all know that the Reapers are methodical and they will take their sweet time while they do their business, so this will give Shepard enough time to get round the galaxy to recruit help. A downside to this would be that the Reapers themselves could potentially be strenghening their time by indoctrinating humans and turning them into husks.

We hear that a Reaper finds it's self on Tuchunka so this probably means they're not stupid enough to dedicate their entire fleet to just earth. I still think the vast majority will be on earth for a lot of the time - including Harbinger - while they send small squads to the rest of the galaxy to take out other planets. They won't see it coming so with a small Reaper squad it should be enough to overwhelm the planets with the element of surprise.

I'd let the galaxy and all the aliens in it burn. No way I'd sacrifice Earth. You think the Turians or Salarians would sacrifice their homeworld to save us? You think the Batarians would?

To save Humanity yes, but that is the only reason.
