I would sacrifice ANYTHING, and I play as a paragon. I think most of the reason I destroyed the Collector base was because I was afraid it would not help, and TIM would use it for bad reasons; although I was certainly disgusted by the thought of using the base.

I am the exact same I play as a paragon all the time (seems more fitting to me being someone trying to save the galaxy (cannot imagine the lord of the Sith (oh sorry I meant The Illusive Man) going round trying to save the galaxy) and i prefer being the good guy rather than the bad guy.

Would I sacrifice Earth? Hmmm.........

That depends on why I'm sacrificing it.

tough question...................................................................Depends?........Unlikley at best. Palaven or thesia or Slarian place or Tuchanka are all a decent "If i had to moment" but Letting earth go? i honestly can't bring myself to even really consider the possibility that the option exists. Earth is Earth.

Can we pick parts of the Earth to sacrifice? Like Cleveland? New Jersey? Florida?

Humanity has colonies, sure, earth is our homeworld but I'd burn it down to stop the reapers.

Doesn't matter,  it wouldn't be a complete end.

NO. Not even if it was the last resort. It would feel like the ultimate betrayal - against almost everything I stood for in the other games (and everything I believe in real life).

I would rather see the galaxy burn in war against the Reapers and see all intelligent life extinct - including the Reapers ;).
It's not logical, of course. It's pure sentimentalism. But I'm like this. =D

If the cause was sufficient, then yes, Earth could be sacrificed, because even if you saved it, and let the galaxy burn, humanity would suddenly only have itself to hate again and we tend to do bad things when left alone.

Besides, sacrifice several billion or a galaxy with more worlds with even greater populations... lets see, sometimes you have to do something for the greater good.

In Mass Effect 3 would you sacrifice Earth for what ever resson that you may have

If my only options are sacrificing Earth to be a good guy, or saving Earth and letting the galaxy burn, then what it will mean is that Bioware sacrificed any money they have made from me because I won't buy the game.

Humanity has thousands of colonies, with almost all of them having a considerably high population. So if the options ran out, yeah I'd sacrifice Earth. The Reapers would have damaged the planet so badly that it would be insanely difficult to rebuild. Compare it to the results of the war between the geth and the quarians and you'll get what I mean.

No.  This is entirely incorrect.  Humanity has dozens of colonies, and the oldest and most populous ones have populations of around 4 to 5 million.  Abuot 99% of humanity lives on Earth in ME, and that's NOT an exaggeration.

Population of Eden Prime: 3.7 million

Population of Earth: 11.4 billion.

Earth is where over 99.99% of all humans live. No way am I sacrificing Earth

The sacrifice of Earth would mean that humanity would become nothing more than the alien trash / drifters of the galaxy.  We'd almost certainly lose our council seat after the war was over, and what colonies we had left would be easily enslaved by Batarians and other thug merc bands without any Alliance Navy to protect them.

If you sacrifice Earth you might as well tell the rest of the human population to eat a bullet because it would be easier than what's coming next.  Earth dies = Humanity dies.  That simple.

So, if I have to let Earth die in ME3, as I said above, I aint buying it:wizard:

Mass Effect 3 better not force me to let Earth die or I will be ultra pissed off . This planet is the home planet of the human race.

Only if it meant that more lives would be saved in the end.

Perhaps causeing the Sun in the Milky Way going Supernova or causeing the earth to explode and taking down all the Reapers around it.

Putting 11.4 Billion lifes (and most likely the rest of the human race, the 10 or so million) to the grave in return for several trillion? I don't know. But I'd rather die trying than let Earth die at my hands.

Sacrifice earth to safe the universe? Well ofcourse I would, if I don't, then reapers win and they get earth anyway. Besides, you can say all that "earth population" crap, but in game informer it said the reapers have earth, and we have to retake it. Soooo... Apparantly that giant population on earth isnt entirely as large anymore to begin with.

Besides, if the reapers 'win'- not only do you lose humans, asari, quarians, turians, salarians, volus, etc etc- you also lose all subsequent life forms that get wiped out by the reapers in the next few million years.

I would definitely sacrifice earth. Sacrificing humanity would be a tougher decision, but I'd probably do that as well if it really came down to it.
