I am playing rogue and I am always getting interrupted by heavy attacks. Is there anyway to compensate for this?

Yeah, move away, stealth, evade, reduse you aggro or stun you attackers. Not sure does increase of fortitude affect interrupts. Basicly you are getting hit by enemies of course, so point is try to avoid it or stop them attacking you. I don't much my self play rogue, so don't know much. My point is that rogue has a lot of talents to avoid aggro.

easy in early game hit what tank is hiting , make use of goad and stuff. Obviously stealth and others but thats if you get zerged or aggro smth strong. Later in game friendship with aveline + improved bodyguard does the trick , also your defense also gonna be high so that will allow avoiding most of attacks.
finally you can rise con and look for items with fortitude.

Carta's Left Hand and Ring of the Twins I believe have effects that make you immune to Knockback and Knockdown.

Evasion, Back to Back, Rush, Stealth, Backstab, Assassinate, etc are all seemingly good talents for avoidance and/or relocation.

Well, those advice work to a certain extent but sometimes you will get stun locked and not be able to get away.
Act II Sundermount cave has a Nexus Golem which sells wares, grab Etched Ring of the Twins from him. The ring provides Knockback immunity to its wearer. Keep in mind knockback and knockdown are two different effects but it is safe to say you won't get interrupted easily after you wear that ring.
Other than that the advice others provided work. Usually, stealth after a big hit like an explosive strike. Moving out of the way doesnt work if ranged have targeted you. That's where the ring I told you about will come into play.
