Will you be sad if DA2 is the final installment of DA in the world of Thedas?

DA2 convinved me to not pre-order ME3, even if they promise more free DLC than the price of the game.
EDIT:
Had I waited two months after release, I could have purchased the game and all the extras I received for pre-ordering for a total price of half or less what I paid for the game, plus the inexcusable bugs would have already been patched.
Or I could have skipped the game entirely, based on actual reviews, as opposed to the BS put out by the pre-release shills who would give a pile of dog crap a 9.5 if they got it for free a month before release.
ME3 has nothing to do with DAII, as they were/are done by different teams. I base my anticipation for ME on the...wait for it......ME franchise.
Of course, every reviewer who liked DAII is a "shill".
Does that make you a "hater"?
No? Then extend that courtesy to others as well.

I wouldn't actually care that much, since DA2 was a horrible game.
Well, then congratulations on a job well done. <_<

I would be VERY sad, given how DAII's ending had me biting my nails, I am that eager to know what's going to happen.
My reaction? I'd "congratulate" the haters for successfully killing a franchise they tried to "save". Again. I've seen this happen SO many times.
(And by haters I do not mean those who post constructive criticism. I mean those who openly admit to sabotaging ratings without ever having played it. Who spam 0/10 reviews on Metacritic. Those who belittle, mock and trash the game as well as its supporters in EVERY thread)
Ugh see, and I feel bad as I didn't know a 7 was average. I totally messed up my metacritic rating ( I didn't give it a 0) but it wasn't high enough. That was my first time rating a game ever. I am very embarrassed by that. It say I may post again so I will.
I would be very sad. I like DA and the lore. I see no reason to kill the franchise just because of DA2. Some liked it some didn't (me). And even if I didn't it doesn't mean it didn't have parts that I loved (because it did).

I will be disappointed if Bioware decides to stop making games set in Thedas, simply because I love the setting. Reaction wise, well I'd be disappointed, but I would be grateful for the books, games and comic that I have and can revisit. What will I think? I'd be curious as to why Bioware would stop, and I would hope that sometime in the future they would revisit the setting. Having said that, there's nothing to indicate that DA2 is going to be the final game, until Bioware makes an offical announcement, I'm not going to worry about it.
Okay this^. Raven-sb said it much better than I did.

Don't worry too much about it. To me and many others a 6-7 is an average rating. There are FEW games I'd give anything below a 5-6. Only "The Guild II" (If you thought DAII had bugs and issues, try that!) and "Gothic IV" would get such a low rating from me. But that is just me.

I was being sarcastic. If constant bashing gets the franchise cut (Even though many claim they wish to "save" it....like like minded folks "saved" the Gabriel Knight franchise), then.....problem solved, no?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... x100
If they don't make anymore games for whatever reason, Mr. Gaider better give us more novels to compensate for all of the unanswered questions. >.<

I have never claimed to wish to save franchise and I am too cynical to expect Bioware to make games that I would like anymore, since based on DA2 I am no longer part of their target demographic.
Still if they make DA3, good for those who liked DA2, I am sure they get what they want.

But it is the same publisher. The DA2 team was under heavy release-pressure from EA and that is why DA2 has such a mediocre quality. If it is the same with ME3 then you can imagine how the final game will be.

Well, Galad22, my hope is that Bioware will listen and take the best out of both games, add a few improvements (Weather effects, more dialogue with companions, people and locations changing over the years) and give us a DA3 both sides will love. Call me a naive optimist, but that's my hope.

They are doing a lot less messing around with ME3. Arrival makes me wary because of the direction so I doubt I'll pre-order. I'll still play it though.

The way I viewed DA:2 was that it's a whole lot of middle. A build up for DA:3 and beyond. DA:O just ended the 5th Blight. Did you really want DA:2, 3 & 4 to end the 6th, 7th & 8th Blights? Of course NOT! So we played through a game where we lived during a time when another issue began effecting the world of Thedas.

The Dragon Age IP is not going away anytime soon. After playing DA2 I have an even lesser desire to crawl through DA:O again. The silent hero is so 20th century.
Stopped reading at "so 20th century". Too indicative of the change-is-always-awesome, new-is-always-better, consume-replace-consume-replace attitude that's helping to chew up and spit out our culture.

My sentiments as well. I have no problem with change, but this kind of change is just aimed at the sole purpose of marketing and promoting consumerism, leaving little to the imagination and fostering any artisitc values..
Going by the previous poster's comment, I would think "button awesome" would fit that too, I mean, button mashing games have bene around as long as games that require imagination and creativity.

As am I.
None of the information we are/have got directly or indirectly about ME3 makes me uneasy about it.
It is a totally different team, an overlapping story in a trilogy that was worked out - at least in rough form - to be just that but above all it has had considerably longer development time. Work on ME3 started before ME2 was released, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the story we get had been worked out while they were starting work on ME2.
No, I'm not worried about ME3...unless they start mucking about with DLC content as they did DA2. But that shouldn't affect the core game much.

You didn't stop reading. You just had nothing constructive to say other than a childish slam and a huge assumption based on a one liner.

So you're a mind-reader now?
Whatever. "Progress" has become a buzzword and marketing tool, used to convince you that you need something new and different every year.

I'm still uneasy about ME3. Its going to disappoint on some level just because there's too many variables coming out of the previous game and too little time to do that justice.
