@Fiery Wasn't it confirmed that ME3 would have an interactive backstory comic for player who hasn't 'played ME1' and ME2?
Only for ME2, what I've heared

No; it will be a comic for both ME1 and ME2.Thekill_3 wrote...

But they are all from a different universe to mass effect, hell they aren't even in the sci-fi genre, and most are DLC.GodWood wrote...

Did Bioware announce Jenkins or Wilson pre-release in ME1 and 2 respectively? No.
Did they announce Trask before KoTOR? As far as I can remember, no.
They've done it before.
But that isn't his only purpose. It is just a part of his character. I agree that the whole "!ast week on mass effect" doesn't appeal to me much either, but you're assuming that is his only role, and he has no backstory or character development.leonia42 wrote...

Just how much of the FINAL act of a triology should be dedicated to bringing newcomers up-to-speed? Some of us have been playing Mass Effect for about what, 5 years almost now.. we want to get on with the story and see the results of our decisions from way back in ME1. I don't want to waste 20 hours on "Last week on Mass Effect..."

You listed KotOR so I just assumed we were talking Bioware in general.darknoon5 wrote...

And that piece of information would be correctImagine this: ME1 is announced in game informer. It lists some of the possible squadmates as Garrus, Ashley, Wrex and...Jenkins?
Ok, fair play, and as I said, I agree that they shouldn't devote too much of the game to introducing it to newer players/recapping.leonia42 wrote...
I'm not even talking about Sanders.. we don't know a thing about him besides his name and a few hints that he will be in the game early on. Any speculation beyond that is just grasping at straws.
All we know about James is he will be the first to join you and will play the role of the introducing figure to ME3. Basically the ME3 equivalent of Kaidan/Ashley and Jacob in ME1 and ME2, respectively.leonia42 wrote...

Expansion is DLC, or at least optional content outside the main game that must be paid for. I shouldn't have said "most" though.GodWood wrote...

Besides, Sanders need not be a red-shirt in order to not be an LI, he could simply be already married or something.

If Kai Leng shows up to assassinate you and fails, goes down on his knees and begs for mercy, and sparing him leads to having him as LI + squad member, then I'll laugh.

Me too. Kai Leng as Zevran I see as very possible.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
I'm totally expecting BioWare to pull another Loghain/Zevran on us in ME3, by the way.

Anyone else think Kai Leng might be the one to shoot TIM if he's in your party? If that Zevran-esq situation happens ofcourse. Just came to me and i could see it happening!
Well, Zevran pretty much did, as did Loghain -- though it depends on how you deal with them.GodWood wrote...

No, no I can't.
Zevran wasn't fanatically loyal to the Crows and I'm not seeing Loghain's relevence in this comparison.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
