when i do the quest for Gamlen's greatest treasure, after the fight with Veld, my game crashes for some reason. and i just cannot figure out why..... i dont have any mods installed, i only transferred a saved game from one pc to another. could there be an error in that?

Your question is far too incomplete to try to answer. Look for the pinned post named "Before anything else" and follow that guide to filling out a problem report.

DirectX: DirectX 11
Hard Drive: 150 GB


i didn't see ATI Radeon HD 3650 with the ones that did not require the minimum.... specifications.
anything else that needs to be known?

What happens when it crashes? coloured screen? Game just stops? Do you get any error messeges or reports? If so what do they say?

Your card is just above the minimum requirements so as long as you are playing on DX9 and low settings i don't see why it would crash.

What graphic settings are you playing on?

i think i play on medium, i've got no lag, nothing.... but after ive done that battle... a moment before a conversation, the screen freezes for about 10 seconds and than it shuts down. Than, a message says: "Dragon Age 2 has stopped working" and u also see a little loading screen while it's searching for a solution.

and the game is fully patched and everything like that?

Did you try returning to an old save and then playing to that point to see if the crash still occurs? Sometimes a single save file can get corrupted and crash.

Did you try reinstalling the game? Sometimes files can get corrupted on an install and cause crashes they can sometimes be fixed with a reinstall.

i updated it to version 1.02 right after i installed it, and i also tried to start from another save... didnt work. but i shall try to reinstall it. i'll post the result tomorrow.

Thanks. Sorry i've not been too helpfull in providing answers to your problem but i want to make sure every possibility i can think of is out of the way first along with variables. It'll at least save some other people time if they want to take a crack at this one.

i reinstalled it... and it seems it has only gotten worse. the same problem still occurs, but now some particles are black, just plain black. i had a screenshot, but i lost it somehow...

in conclusion, i reinstalled it, but it didn't work

How much disc space do you have free, also try disable DX11(under Options then Video then render) it is screwy sometimes when disc space is low also on some older machines.

ive got 67,5 GB free space. that ought to be enough, right? but i'll try to disable DX11.
