I really don't understand.
One of the most basic options most forums have is a way to block postings from people you don't want to see from. People that are harassing, rude, racist, etc. It's a simple way of protecting Users from other Users who are constantly abusive and have no interest in anything else but being abusive, and it's especially important when they're a constant target.
So why doesn't this forum have it? Or if it does, where is it? Why do we have to depend on Moderators who are either too busy with their day jobs to stay on top of it all, or have different ideas of what constitutes as an "offense".
It doesn't take any User's rights away when a person blocks someone and can no longer see what that person posts. And it saves the Moderators a lot of hassle because instead of having to deal with it personally, the User can deal with it themselves. Yet we don't have this feature?
Instead we have an option to block Users from PMing you. Oh, great. So they can still harass you in the forums with postings you're forced to see, but they can't Message you personally. That was a great option to have maybe 10 years ago.
Come on, forum. Get with the program. Smiley faces don't make up for this.
Why are there so few User protections in this forum?
