Hey folks!

so for the past few months I've been hard at work making and integrating a new origin story for Dragon Age Origins that will let you start as an Apostate Mage. My set release date for the beta is 5/18/2011, so less than a month from now!
The mod will feature

A Whole new Origin story, adding content from the start of the game all the way to the epilogue!

Over 500 fully voiced lines of dialogue

2 new Grey Warden recruiters (don't worry! Duncan still turns up!)

Shake the faith of Templars, or condemn them to death!

Approximately 2 hours of additional playtime!

A whole new, detailed area to explore!

Will be as compatible with all ECCP mods!

The alpha never worked for me, but the whole concept and the praise I've been seeing for it makes me excited. I may have to put the Witcher 2 on hold for this mod!

because the alpha was so buggy and unattractive looking, I took it down after a few people tested it out. In another week or so I'll put up a beta

Question, however: how does it affect the flags that are exported for expansion and DA II? How would npcs refer to the warden in regard to his/her origin in consequent games? Circle mage?

It is great to hear that someone has finally managed to make a new origin! That in and of itself is impressive so congratulations!

I've been really hoping we'd see some origin mods eventually. I'll definitely give it a shot once you've released it. I'd love to make some of my own as well, but unfortunately the technical workings are just too much to me. I can't even figure out how to get the character selection to work properly with a new origin.
