This is basically what I did reading that page.

Seriously this looks like something I'd expect the more juvenile fans around here to come up with...

All teh sexy female characters are comin back! I don't really like these dudes so they probably won't be coming back.

<_<

I really hope the writer was just talking out of their cloaca, and that this is not how Bioware views things. A character's popularity (based solely on internet polls) is a pretty petty way to determine who should play a role in ME3. Just because a character is less popular doesn't mean they should be exempted from ME3.

The only semi-useful information I was able to pick up out of that was that Ashley/Kaidan is now a Spectre. Although I had suspected as much from ME2, and their ME3 uniforms seem very Spectre stylized being like Tela Vasir's outfit.

Edit: There's also the thing about Jack being slightly redesigned, but that was a given. I basically expect this means she'll likely wear some actual clothes and or possibly have hair. Hopefully something like a Mohawk if that's the case.

God, this is BEYOND fake. James Sanders is NOT the Sniper, so that just kills it right there. Please people, do NOT take anything on this seriously.

I hope it's not legit.

I don't think Jacob is beyond saving. Was he boring? Yeah. Yeah he was. But so was Kaidan and he's back. And something tells me this new Rookie guy will be just as boring.

I'm still hoping for the full crew. I don't even want new crew members.

Indeed.

The article was written for ten year olds, apparently by ten years olds.

Despite being a godawful bit of journalism on the whole the bit about Jack seems like it might be genuine. They at least name Derek Watts as their source. To be honest if that bit is wrong as well it would be nice to get it cleaned up on the forums by someone from the team. Obviously a lot of Jack fans (such as myself) will inevitably worry that they are moving away from what made Jack such a brilliant character in the first place. Although I suspect it'll just be a visual representation of how she mellows if you romance her (properly) although not sure how that would jive with her appearing if you didn't romance her.

I would like to see some divergence in Jack's appearance from those who romanced her and those who didn't, plus had her shoot Aresh and told her "You're a killer jack. A bullet in the head solves everything."

Don't expect it though, probably asking a bit much to have 2 character models based on some dialogue from ME2 :D

But it would be so nice. I mean if Jack tells Shepard to **** off and never speaks to them again.....why would Jack be in a healther mind frame in ME3? It would be nice if how you treated Jack had consquences with her personality and appearance.

Anyone worried that Bioware will base the return of certain characters on forum poll popularity need not be. ME2 collects anonymous statistics about how people play the game. I suspect that will primarily guide their decisions, in addition to what they themselves already planned to deliver and fan response on the internet (including BSN polls).

Why? Because they're riding the ME3 hype train, and anything ME3 related will sell copies of their magazine. Doesn't matter how accurate it is.

You can find scans toward the end of the gamepunch.com ME thread, if you care.

I've been doing research over this silliness. If anyone cares to know, there's no real new information in the entire article - including images. Each of the images ME3 images used in these 'scans' (can't be scans, the color's too well preserved, and the issue is for June) are all used elsewhere in real articles.

"The other soldier?" Really? I thought he was your former LT. :P

This is some of the most ridiculous misogynistic journalism that I've seen yet. OK for a Duke Nukem article, not cool for Mass Effect.

Ignore it and move on, guys. This is quite possibly the stupidest and most idiotic thing I've read in a while. Let's just stick with the GI stuff.

Ashley or Kaiden as a Spectre, why? Yeah, they managed to not get shot while Wrex Garrus and I saved the galaxy. Then they managed to get frozen within twenty three seconds and yell at me on Horizon. SPACTOR MATEERIAL!

Also it's already been posted, I'm guessing it's fake.

This thing is just full of inaccuracies:

Ash - "sexually aggressive". Enh, not really.

Claims you make the choice btwn. her and Kaidan at the end of ME1

Claims Liara is an "unlockable" crew member if you have Lair, rather than a temporary squadmate.

Garrus: says he assumed the name "Archangel" specifically for use on Omega

James Sanders: as noted, he's not the sniper, but they use that image. Also claim he replaces Jacob.

Miranda - Labels her "The Saviour". Not a particularly fitting epithet.

Jacob - Labels him "The Other Saviour". Again: ill-fitting. Best guess: they've got some odd notions about Lazarus.

Legion - as noted, called "The Defector" which is just flat wrong.

That's because the writer is too stupid to invest time in doing some actual research about the characters.

I for one don't care about anything but garrus, thane, and kaiden.. if those three don't show up, someone is going to pay.

If Miranda , Grunt and Jacob as well Wrex  do not show up well then I will just  kill or find ways of murdering the rest of the team in 3 . simple as that .

Don't worry nobody gives a S*** about how you play your game.

This.

Nobody cares. In the entire universe.

That article seems written by a lame teenager fan (yes, yes... I know that there is going to be someone who'll say "Then probably he's a Talimancer who wrote it!") and the characters comments seem to be based more on speculations than on facts. Also, even if Jacob is really the less popular this doesn't mean that he should just vanish in the air... even him has his fanbase so... okay, no full squadmate probably, but neither a 2 seconds cameo. I'd feel sorry for his fans. I think we're facing something far less professional and attendible than the GI's article, so we shouldn't be exagerately alarmed or pleased about what there's written in it.

It's funny. This article mentions Jack getting a redesign--and uses a quote (I'm skeptical of quotes since that incident with Chris Priestly) from Derek Watts to back that claim up--but it doesn't mention anything about Garrus's new look. They don't even have a new picture of him. On the other hand, GameInformer has released a few videos concerning the art direction of Mass Effect 3 (one of which includes pictures of Garrus's new look), but--as far as I can tell--none of those videos have mentioned anything on Jack.

So... isn't it odd how PSM3 is the only magazine with that quote on Jack? Is it unreliable? When GameInformer came out with its information on Mass Effect 3, several websites (e.g. PC Gamer, Eurogamer) borrowed and interpretted that information any way they could. Why isn't the same happening with PSM3's information?

If I'm missing something, please let me know.
