Just wondering if anyone is thinking or working on a mod that makes the Dalish default hunter female armor less bulky in the back? Personally it drives me crazy but I'm n ot big on messing with meshes.

Here's what I mean:

There's nothing anybody can do about it until the tools exist to get edited meshes back into the .mmh (or whatever it is) format that DAO can use.



But I'm sure it won't be too terribly long until that happens.

That is one of the things that drew me away from using the dalish armor for females.

It's soo apparent when you are playing and during certain scenes.

How does Bioware test their armor and their meshes ? With pirate eye patches on both eyes ?

Im working on it... not very likley I'll get done soon. It seems like a simple fix, but I'm not a very good blender and I want to do a excellent job before I release anything.

Yeh, I just completed my msh. , its sort of a rough draft, the script Im using to convert the file keeps giving a error. Hope its nothing serious, I just left a post at the Blender forge about it, hopefully I wont have to start over [:-0....

Maybe sometime I'll most a screenshot of my progress.

Im going to have to completly retexture the model before its usable.
I also want to add detail such as a real belly-button and real features not those terrible painted on shadows. Im hoping it will look somthing like natural bodies only with clothes lol.

I dont want to get your hopes up too high, this is still in a early stage. I mean there is the posiblity I may never finish this at all, but eventually someone will. This is what ive constructed so far. If things go well i may finish a decent, usable version in the next 14 to 30 days. Im willing to let you be the first to try it[test it] since your post did inspire me attempt this. But my first(beta) version wont be perfect I can assure you of that

Yay the curve! Hehe, it needs a little adjustment (looks a bit too drastic right now), but that's bugged me since release; hope you stick with it.

OK, this is bit of a thread necromancy i guess, but....





Incidentally, the reason original Dalish armour looks so weird is very simple -- pretty much all armours of any type use one and the same model. So the Dalish armour is in fact the regular leather armour, just with elf/human skin painted over it.
