Considering how much of a hack job the article was, I wouldn't take it for a grain of salt.
It may be total crap, but I'm just enjoying the thought of Jacob getting jettisoned to the cutting room floor too much right now to be skeptical.

What about the other people who do like Jacob and want him to return? Should they be cut out too?

The people who like Jacob aren't characters in the game. They can't be cut from anything. Besides, I'm sure all three Jacob fans will fall back in love with the equally boring Kaiden Alenko.

I agree. Jacob's romance was the most challenging to complete. He actually asks Shepard how she's doing, and she actually get some meaningful dialogue with him. He's also the only LI to say he loves you, and the only one to get a post-SM dialogue. All things considered, he was a poor character to bring along in a heavy fight, but one of the better ones with regard to dialogue and character development.

Oh, thank you PSM3 magazine for that little tidbit of information! Goodbye boring, white-bread, morality 1st sissy boy! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Seroiusly though, thank you bioware! Thank you for not wasting space on my roster with him. Relegate him to a cameo
Your simple lack of comprehension is disturbing.
Nowhere in the article mentioned that Jacob is not coming back, it just mentioned that he isn't confirmed to be back along with many other characters.
For all we know Jacob IS in the game and is a squadmate, but Bioware just is not ready to confirm him yet.
I find this rampant hate of Jacob really....interesting to say the least but I'm not going to say anything just yet.

James Sanders will likely be equally boring. He's prolly the required "boring normal soldier guy" in true ME tradition.

As punishment for jumping to conclusions and stomping on Jacob's small, yet well-meaning fanbase, this will be your squad for ME3:

When a similar thread was created a few weeks back detailing how Tali won't be a full squadmember and just a "one mission" squad member, the mods quickly jumped on the thread and closed it down as meaningless spam.
Now lets see if the mods do their job this time, even if Jacob isn't popular on these forums like Tali.

I wouldn't call this good news. If Jacob is gone that means they aren't treating all LIs equally, meaning Miranda, Jack, Thane and Tali could also be small cameos
This needs to be said: If you romanced Jacob than you played the game wrong.

^This. Also, Cancer Puppet strikes me as a bit of a douche.
Wow, well, you're entitled to your opinion. I just despise the character, and was expressing my satisfaction with, what is in my opinion, his most timely removal from the Normandy.

Its sad to see that the moderator staff also has bias to them as well.

There's a bit of a difference between people posting photoshopped images directly attributing "information" about ME3 to Chris Priestly, and some ****ty game rag posting their own speculation as fact.MajesticJazz wrote...

I'm really not trying to encite a flame war, I was simply pleased with the news in the article. That said, it is disconcerting to think that a LI is being cut so casually, as it potentially bodes poorly for some others.
