The alliance hasn't unleashed a computer virus that could destroy the galaxy before the Reapers.

Instead, they unleashed a Spectre who nearly initiated the Reaper invasion.

The Alliance has no control of the spectres

pretty sure TIM did not build Cerberus from his own money, he has powerful backers, and killing TIM isn't the end of Cerberus anyways

my wish if we're going to get railroaded into killing or otherwise taking down TIM? there's a renegade option that means becoming the next leader of Cerberus

tho in many ways it's a little too reminiscent of the end of DA2 if you went the templar route...

I can settle for that but my femshep will still shed tears as she pulls the trigger on TIM though. :(

Actually, if you ask EDI, she will tell you exactly how much control TIM has over his various projects.
And what she will tell you is that he oversees every single one personally.
He makes the decisions and knows full well the consequences of the acts he asks the various Cerberus cells to commit on his behalf.

The only possible exception was the cell which created Subject Zero, which went rogue and started doing unauthorized experiments.
That is, if we can believe what TIM told Miranda about that cell, he may have been lying to her and Shepherd by proxy.

Shepherd serving the Reapers, well, not possible.
The dialogue throughout both games is full of "we're not scared of you, come on, Reaper, fight us and we'll fight back, to the death if necessary"
It would be extremely lame if that was suddenly turned into "oh, let's be the slaves of the Reapers and get melted down into organic goo to make another human Reaper".

And quite honestly, I expect the series to end with the Reapers getting defeated somehow.
They're in a vulnerable state which they never have been before, with our acquistion of Reaper technology, the steps the Protheans took to give us "extra time" before we faced the Reapers and so on.

Not to mention there are several mysterious references to events which may bring down the Reapers through the appearance of currently unknown allies.
The Prothean Data burst in Firewalker and the Reaper killer cannon are hints that have never been fully explained.
What if there's a surviving Prothean civilization out there somewhere and the data burst brings them to the party.
Considering how they were very close to unlocking the secrets of the Reapers before their demise (and the Ilos scientists did learn something about Reaper technology afterwards), how much more advanced would they have gotten in 50000 years?

TIM dies, realistically, Cerberus dies. In real life, after losing their uniting figurehead, Cerberus would divide into countless splinter factions that were indepedant of one another. They may keep the logo, but that's about it.

Even if TIM "dies" he'll live on in all our hearts.

Shepard shoots TIM. Shepard becomes TIM. Cerberus becomes a galaxy-guardian organization. Cerberus stops having a rep as a terrorist organization.

Personally I hope we get to take The Incompetent Man to a certain planet, I'm thinking, a planet beginning with the letter A...

Ah yes! Thats right!

Akuze!

We treat him to a bit of the justice that he's dealt to others and dump him in a Thresher Maw nest, I'll be generous though and give him a gun with a single bullet.

The Illusive Man didn't know what was really happening in the camp. I'm pretty sure he would have sent a few troops to bring in line the people who thought it was a good idea to stage fights with kids.

He wouldn't care as long as they got results.

He was not directly involved in that.

He funded it.

I've honestly grown to hate the "They went rogue" excuse. Yes, that means Illusive Man wasn't directly involved, but it makes him look incompetent. I mean seriously, exactly how many Cerberus facilities did TIM lose control of?

Mr. Harper should sue all these people for slander.

A scientist outright says TIM wouldn't care if they got results.

edit: And that's the kind of person TIM is. A results no matter what kind of guy.

IMO "villanizing" TIM would be like setting a sun on fire. It is simply redundant and unnecessary.

Mr. Harper stood up to the Collectors in humanity's darkest hour. I'd take a bullet for him.
