Solider for me I find my fighting style suits being a solider and my best decisions (in my opinion at least) are with the solider

Vanguard. Looking forward to test the new melee attack! A Krogan-like headbutt would be great

Infiltrator. I love incinerate and sniping fools from a far.

I love to hear when they scream from burning to death.

Stuck between vanguard and adept
My main shep has been a vanguard for both games. I tried out ME2 again with an adept and it was really fun actually.
ill probably pick vanguard even though im the worst vanguard ever :)

Soldier. When i first started playing Mass Effect, i accidentally picked the default Shep, I was too lazy to change it at the time, so thats the class and look i stuck with for all the first playthroughs of the mass effect games. :)

the soldier, its a class that helped me learn to play me1, adjust to me2, and further adjust to me3. I like to experiment with the weapons so that when I play the other classes I have an idea what would work best for them. Sounds like this to be more true in Me3 since all classes can use all weapons.

My default soldier John Shepard (earthborn, sole survivor, etc.), with Ashley / Miranda romance.
I want to see first how the game runs with the default face, class and history.

I'm so gonna take my number one engineer. There's just nothing like it, and I love the sound of burning fools.

Infiltrator is my favorite class and on my original Shep, so it'll be getting played first. Excited to see how it's going to be tweaked-- Multiple evolutions of skills+tactical cloak=Ohgoodnesspossibilities. (Squad tactical cloak, while insanely OP, would be so epic. XD) Also excited to see how the scope slow-mo gets tweaked. I liked it, and it definitely made me like my Infiltrator more--In ME1, I was glad I didn't have to get headshots, and I was concerned when ME2 basically required it, but the time slow in scope helped me compensate for my somewhat lackluster shooter skills.

Second will be adept, mostly because biotic abilities have the most potential for mixing and matching upgrades, I think. They're designed to be used in combination. (That's also why I hope adepts get improved cooldown time/reduction. Endgame adepts are powerful, but at the beginning, it's hard to use multiple effects on enemies when they time out before your cooldown period is up.)

Also, Bioware, please bring back Dominate. I know it was OP, I know it's basically blatant hax, but being able to hack a mech, dominate a merc, and then shoot something in the head with a Widow is SO MUCH FUN. 8D

I'm actually not quite sure. Depends a bit on the changes that are made to classes I guess. And while Infiltrator and Vanguard are my favourite classes I might end up importing my Soldier first. Why? Because then I'll know the game and what I need to prepare for with my other classes in the mission and probably have more fun playing the game. It might sound weird, but I usually only start enjoying games after at least 1 or even several playthrough. The first one usually sucks and is no fun at all a side from the storyline maybe. But once I know the game and can start experimenting, modding, humiliating the enemies and all that stuff it is way more fun for me. So maybe I'll go Soldier first which fits the story nicely and also should be able to beat Insanity even without knowing what to expect from the missions - and then import my 2 favourites before finally playing with Adept, Engineer and Sentinel.

My intention would be Adept then Sentinel then Engineer then Vanguard then Infiltrator then soldier, but I have a habit of seeing a nice shiny class power that I want to try out which ruins all my prelaid plans.

Vanguard, because my main Shepard is a vanguard, and that's the one I'm playing first. I also have two soldiers and a sentinel, but I don't know what order I'll be playing those in. Probably soldier/sentinel/soldier because the second soldier character is my Insanity build, and whether the details of the build affect gameplay in ME3 or not, I'm using him for Insanity because, well, cuz.

The Adept was a lot of fun on ME2 if you played correctly and not spam warp every time. Stripping away their defenses w/ phalanx/locust is almost as quick because it is so strong. That way you can free it up w/ using pull/throw or pull/warp combos which just decimates people. -- to be honest, i only see adept getting more fun in ME3. :D :D I cant wait.

After that, probably soldier. just because that is my "perfect" paragon game w/ the default look and everything.

Soldier for sure.

I once made a post in the old Bioware forums about why I felt soldiers were special despite not having the biotic wizardry, or tech aptitude...

It involved guns, guts, and lots of old sci-fi movies.

Vanguard (Devon Shepard) is always first. He's my most Paragon character, and the one who talks to everyone and does everything. Everyone survived the Suicide Mission in his playthrough.

Adept (Simone Shepard) is next. I do love biotics, and she is my "chaotic good" character. A few key characters didn't survive the Suicide Mission in her playthrough.

Soldier (Ashley Shepard) will be third. She's my psycho Renegade kill-'em-all character. Only Morinth and Kasumi survive in her playthrough.

Infiltrator (Ethan Shepard) will probably be fourth. I love playing Infiltrators, and Ethan will no doubt be fun to play in ME3. He's my "Ladies' Man", having romanced Liara and Jack in the first two games. I may replay him from the first game, so he can romance Ashley, actually.

It'll be a toss up whether my Sentinel (Martin Shepard) or my Engineer (Leah Shepard) will be fifth, but the other will be sixth. They're my most 'neutral' characters, and therefore the least exciting to play. I always save them for my last playthroughs, and I do the least amount of 'extra' stuff with them. They both have a few deaths in the Suicide Mission.
