 Just started playing this and wanted to roll through it using an arcane trickster since Kaedrin has added some nifty ways to get sneak attack damage through spells and a few reserve feats.  However, I have discovered that I am not getting my sneak attacks applied when I use ranged touch attack spells.  They work fine for me in the OC, SoZ and Vordan's Hero Creator, just not in this campaign.

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could do to fix this.  I have never messed around with the toolset and have no idea where to even look or what files might be the issue.

Any advice on the matter would be appreciated.  Perhaps I could figure out how to get it to work correctly.  Otherwise, I will just rethink my character and try out something else.

Are you sure whatever you're trying to SA isn't immune? Kaedrin's script also checks for a few things that the engine's sneak attack doesn't but should, like concealment.

Positive. Plus I am getting the sneak attack when I use my weapon against these creatures.

I saw your post on the vault as well, but am not sure. Are you using the separate campaign folder some people needed?

Sneak attacks have a range when using ranged weapons. Maybe it's the same for spells.

Also, flanking doesn't always work. Are you attacking from stealth?

I have not tried using the separate campaign folder, will give that a go and see what happens. And I am receiving sneak attacks with ranged weapons like I would expect, just not with spells. I recreate the same situations in the oc, SoZ and Vordan's hero creator and have no problem getting my sneak attacks with spells, just with this campaign. Everything else (so far) from Kaedrin's pack seems to be working except for one other thing I have noticed. As a tiefling, in other campaigns I have been receiving martial weapon prof. for free as a tiefling, but not in Path of Evil.

If I can't get it to work or figure it out, I will just play without it. Disappointing, but not the end of the world. Just figured I would try posting here in case someone had an idea of where I could look or troubleshoot to address the problem. I am completely lost when it comes to modding.

To reiterate, in the exact same circumstances outside of the module, I am getting sneak attacks like I expect with my ranged touch attack spells. But for some reason, I am not getting these in the module.

I'd check that there isn't a copy of the cmi_options file anywhere with the sneak attacks turned off.

Thanks. That's the kind of advice I was looking for. I'll give it a check when I have time. What folder is that file usually located in?

Propably easiest to just do a search for the whole My Documents/NWN2 folder. If you do find more than one then delete anything that isn't in your Kaedrin's folder.

I've searched for the cmi_options folder, just have kaedrins, and I have tried the alternate campaigns folder. Neither solved the problem. Thanks for the suggestions. Perhaps I will just have to rethink my arcane trickster.
