Did you not even read what I wrote?

I'll say it again, the developers (Bioware) have tried to claim this. Not me, I said it was stupid twice, did that not give you a clue?  I even said why they were trying this BS.

I will counter your facepalm with a DOUBLE FACEPALM OF DOOM. One from me, and one from this guy:

No, it's not canon.  Canon is what the game says, and it still says they're female.  It also came out after Hudson
made the first infamous statement.  It's just PR nonsense that can be ignored.  Unless of course you feel like mocking them for it.

I actually assume it has to do with their backup organs.

Why does the word sausage-fest comes to my mind.

Now I can't shake the images from my mind.

I'm sorry, but you've forced me to do this.

The problem is that Bioware have stated that Asari are not female.  Its stupid, but they've gone and done it.  They are claiming that Asari are not Female so that they can say that 'there have never been any lesbian relationships in Mass Effect'.  Because it comes from the Devs its now canon. Like I said, its stupid.

I do a bit, yes.  Mockery does seem somewhat appropriate doesn't it? [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

Wow, you're still going on about this? Alright, one last shot at humoring:

Actually, all I saw was what happens when a user is proved wrong and tries to play it off. My post simply came after that.

And for the record, I did read the whole thing. Of course, saying that now doesn't mean much.

ANYWHO. This thread can simply be bundled in the hundreds of other needlessly nitpicky things. Like other people have pointed out: Just enjoy it.

My last attempt at humoring, if you look on page one, you'll notice that I responded to Didymos a full hour before you posted.  It was meant as a silly little joke at Bioware's expense, that both Didymos and I were in on.

Had you simply looked at the post after his you might even have gotten the joke and not ended up looking silly.

They have them because of genetics.  Duh!

Seriously, the most logical answer would be nursing (like others have already stated).  As to the other apparent argument...  They are mono-gendered (mono meaning one), which does not exclude them from being females.

The larger question is this: why is the majority of the galaxy bipedal and roughly humanoid? Way to drop the xenomorphic ball, Bioware!

Abit more serious then my above statement, I think it's because we see humans as the dominant species, a human life is worth more then a life of an animal, most humans think. It's easier to have sympathy for anything that looks abit human, then ugly monsters or bug like creatures (like the old Shadow Broker).

Testicle size is directly related to the promiscuity of the women in the comunity. (Most of a mans sperm is there to kill other sperm.) And Krogan females are in short supply, so they're sleeping with allot of people. Thus bigger/more testicles. Krogan may have only had two at one point, but due to their fast evolution they just got an extra two to compensate for, things.

Science.

You know what annoys me? All of this "why do they have breasts?" nonsence, so what? They look 95% human and you only take offense with breasts?

Yeah, yeah it's fine that they look entirely human like. What? Breasts? No ofcourse not, human like but without breasrs, duh?

Nonsense, I enjoy them just as much and I'm female. >:3

In fact, in a way, asari are probably more appealing to me than a male. But I'll leave that sentence annoyingly without explanation.
