Just wondering the best way to make a DW warrior in DA2, im assuming you could take a rogue and pump enought STR for him to wear plate...or would that gimp the rogue skills?

or use a mod to give a warrior DW skills....again, hwat about the skills?

which would give the best DW warrior?

well, you can't be effective. In terms of class builds the game is designed to push you in a certain pre-determined path unfortunately.

A rogue's damage and to-hit percentage is calculated through dexterity and there is not a single talent to change that. Even if you pump up STR and CON to wear some heavy armor, without enough DEX you are going to miss almost all your attacks.

If your concern is purely aesthetic, I suggest you change the armor models and make the daggers you use look like swords via swapping weapon/armor models.

it's possible to have a DW rogue with warrior armour without needing to spend too many points in strength if you do adequate prebuffing, and any strength you do get could help with fortitude (pre-rings) and constitution with general durability. But as most of the warrior amour would actually be inferior to the rogue armour available (as somehow armour-rating doesn't seem to correlate to the actual amount of armour you wear) you'd be missing out on quite a bit of extra damage potential (+crit) for purely aesthetic reasons.

Plus it might look weird to be diving around, backstabbing people with tiny daggers while in full plate. If you don't mind the look of heavy armour with daggers and sacrificing some damage potential I suppose it could work. Most rogue abilities are good at single target damage, so you could be some kind of duelist warrior?

Edit: Wait, what am I talking about?! of course you can stealth/stab people while in full plate -  just look at those templar hunters!
Also, i'm not sure how modding works in dragonage (console player), but if you could add the dual wield tree to your warrior that could solve most your problems? That's the tree that locks daggers to the class (might have issues getting the dex to equip them though). If you still had aoe melee damage that could make you pretty overpowered

If King Something the Forgotten's armour didn't have an annoying and pointless warrior only requirement, a rogue wearing that might not be too bad.

But you can dual wield as a warrior...
One weapon is a club, axe, or sword, for hitting, chopping, and slicing.
The other weapon is a big ass slab of metal for PUNCHING PEOPLE IN THE FACE SO HARD THEY FALL OVER.

SnS, flush out damage abilities, follow DPS trees for 2handers, ???, profit.

I'm thinking of trying a SnS warrior who goes damage. I'd be like Crixus from "Spartacus:Blood and Sand". A murmillo gladiator!
I saw some pretty heavy damage 1h swords out there too. Couldn't give em to Aveline; too much con not enough strength I think.
