It was an honest question, albeit a slighty pointed one. While I'm not clear on why we should continue to tolerate rude behavior that adds nothing of value to any discussion, I can at least make an effort to be polite about it. Sadly, there don't seem to be any moderators available to lock this thread, so it will doubtless contine into even farther, more miserable depths without anyone available to stop it. But at this point, this is nothing but a hate thread, pure and simple. I can only pray that bans get liberally handed out on Monday morning.

You know... Mods are just like real people (hehe) and some of them you may not like. But there is no reason to bash them. The ones that are not on the payroll of BW are just like us fans and mod for the love of the games. You may not believe it, but the same goes for the payed ones. Have a look at their profile pages and blogs. Obviously those are more prone to be attached to the company, but they do their best to make this forum a cool experience for everyone.
Even if I do not like the direction that some of the new products are taking, I never felt that they were closing threads because they didn't like the opinion. They close threads for good reasons and I've never seen that they close a thread to silence opinions. Here is a good example: Last year a BW mod was under fire and instead of closing the thread he just responded to posts in that thread and explain his point of view. I did not agree with him, but I do appreciate his efforts. So, yes. I support the moderators. To me they are not pixels on my screen, but real people.
I made some stupid mistakes in the past and had two temp bans. Looking back they were right. Maybe that was a good thing. It changed the way I approach things here now. And I still can post anything I want and don't have the fear of being silenced. My simple "remember that your are talking to real people with opinions and emotions" mindset helps me a lot.

Only thing that moderator should do with this is to lock it.
Also Pacifen responded to this thread few minutes later, before she quit being moderator since she got sick being treated like garbage for volunteer job.
Also, why did you disappear from this thread after creating it but still be active on BSN?
