hi

i'm just wondering how to make a incredible bloodmage/forcemage hawke for my final playthrough?  could any1 help me by listing what they did to make their blood/force mage step by step.

I reckon i need to pump up consitution 1st to required level, n then i can go for the will n magic bonus's, I do have the emporium downloaded but i do not want to use a makers sigh at all, so i can either go 1 will, 1 magic, 1 con or just do straight con until i have about 500 hitpoints lol.

any thing you can help me with this build will be brillient i'm about to start it now though

If you don't find what you're looking for in there, you could always try Arelex's mage guide. It covers a pretty decent bloodmage/forcemage build with some videos demonstrating it. My guide currently isn't complete yet, so not sure how useful it'll be if you're not intending on using any maker's sighs...
Why aren't you anyway? Are you at least going to use it for your companions? Weird.. haha

Anyhow, there isn't much point to pumping constitution from before you become a bloodmage as all that will do is increase your durability when you really don't want to be getting hit at all. I would recommend pumping and maintaining magic such that your attack stays high (80-90+) and maybe investing anything extra into constitution.

You're going to have issues with equipment in that if you pump willpower to get the requirements for robes you'll be effectively wasting attribute points (using bloodmagic for mana renders mana-levels useless and additionally, pre-buffing in later acts allows you to equip higher leveled gear while having a low willpower).
So what you potentially can do is follow my crit-mage build and invest in dex and cunning to equip rogue gear which means that the attribute points are going towards useful stats (damage-wise) - It's working pretty well for my force/blood mage which is currently in act 2 and I think Arelex's build used pretty similar concepts. Or you can pump willpower up to around 20 (because any higher will be a waste at later acts - and this is why maker's sighs are so useful..).
Robes have the advantage of +%elemental damage, so if you plan on using lots of firestorms etc, the willpower option might be better. I've done some calcs that suggest that a rogue-armoured crit-bloodmage build will outperform a pure magic bloodmage damage-wise (not including elemental) but I guess whatever you choose is up to you.

Anyhow, whatever the case, you can easily get through the first act and up to level 14 (2nd specialisation point) running merely on the base willpower and +attribute items if you have one of your companions use rally. This means that you can choose to specialise in bloodmagic after specialising as a force mage (and getting unshakeable).

I'm really not quite sure what advice you're looking for though. If it helps, my level 14 crit-bloodmage has 26 constitution (23 without items) which gives it the equivalent of ~740 mana due to the 'improved bloodmagic' items, (though in practice it'll probably be a less as you get injured and need to get healed). So getting a constitution any higher than this is probably more for survivability than mana requirements.

Hope this helps

thanks for the help, just started act 2 n am going to now focus on con n will, magic is now 100% so can kill things really well, n shortest ever battle for the ancient rock wraith mage hawk with force n electric spells, anders with ice n fire spells n merril with ice spells n spirit spell along with varric who only has bianca upgrades n >30 cunning(using him to open chests).

forgot to buy bloodmage necklace, but i'm buying everything else in act 2 so am focusing on the force spells until i get to level 14 or so so i can get the bloodmage specs.  but wow 3 mages are just awesome, going to do another playthrough of game on nightmare being similar mage:devil:

Shep knows all about that, I'd take him at his word.

I was never gone, per se, just that I hadn't played the game in about a week, and didn't think I was going to again.
