With Dragon Age 2 being the crap it turned out to be, I've reinstalled NWN2 to give the expansions a go, since I hadn't played those.
I can't remember and I couldn't find the information after a bit of searching around so I'm asking:
Does Parry work if you're using a two-handed weapon ?
The reason for asking is the way the NWN2 manual is phrased:
"When wielding a one-handed weapon or fighting unarmed, you can use the Parry skill..."
Does that effectively mean that you can't use Parry with a two-handed weapon, or is it just a typo in the manual ?
Thanks...
Does Parry work with two-handed weapons ?

AFAIK it does work, though I haven't tried it out. I'm not sure, though; Parry is broken anyway so people tend not to use it. There's a bug with it whereby it will only block at most about three (IIRC) of a foe's attacks (making it pretty bad at high levels), and you get a cumulative -5 attack penalty to your riposts. This means that it's theoretically viable at low levels, but not at higher ones.

Yeah, I'm aware of the bug. Since it only affects the game on specific circumstances and/or on higher levels, I'd still like to use the skill for one of my characters. I really just need to know if it works for two-handed weapons the same as with one-handed.
Could anyone confirm then ? Thanks.

I'd say it's yet another error in the manual. Don't trust it, the wiki is much better in these cases. I never use Parry, so I haven't tested, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. The wiki doesn't mention one handed weapons either.
Why don't you start the game and test it yourself?

On looking at it, AFAIK the Parry bug only kicks in >3 attacks (3 attacks, one in each "flurry", should still work fine). So, only at L16+ for high AB characters, and even then, you only let through one in four. Yeah that sucks a bit, but if you're playing the OC where ~3/4 of the game (15 out of 20 levels) is below level 16, or a community module where you never even hit L16, I don't see why Parray wouldn't be viable (although the OC specifically is a bit nasty because you tend to fight large numbers of foes).
