Yep, as long as they suit the character. And the situation. Miranda seems fine from a character perspective, as long as she learns to use armour in the field. Samara, though, confuses me. For someone who seems so focused on her goals and has forsaken most worldly goods and pleasures, she likes showing off that cleavage of hers. Perhaps she just likes to flaunt what no one can have. >.>

I personally have nothing against sexual content when it's appropriate.

Strip Club/Brothel/Sex scene = Appropriate
Combat/hostile environment etc = Not Appropriate

Honestly I find it ridiculous that armour was thrown away for sexed up catsuits and yet the actual sex scenes were toned down to nothing but awkward dry-humping.

That's gun-shy Bioware for you. They keep trying to play both sides of a field while straddling a fence, and the results are awkward and inconsistent. Whether that's love scenes in their games (dry humping with granny panties on, or having sex while fully clothed), or gameplay mechanics (it's an RPG for the CoD crowd! It's a shooter for the RPG crowd! It's...something!), whatever.

It's the most extreme case where the personality doesn't fit the looks AT ALL. Samara is a strong, confident and mature person who got the most extremes in her life to the point she is so much devoted to her mission that she won't engage in a relationship with Shepard even though she feels attracted to him/her. No it doesn't, really. Okay, I concede that asari might have a different outlook on sexuality than humans but matriarchs are meant to be leaders. They're meant to be wise advisors for the rest of their people. It just doesn't fit that image. 

You're comparing the portrayal of men and women in gaming? Really? I'd like you to elaborate on that, if you wouldn't mind. 

I can think of some examples where men are portrayed poorly but I can also think of a lot of examples where men are portrayed as the heroic, strong, independent type. Most games, in fact. I can't really see what there is to complain about there unless you're concerned that sensitive men aren't being incorporated into gaming.

 I dunno brah. In a game where you kill hundreds of people I don't really see the point in whining about the outfits. But if anything, the males should get equally absurd outfits.

I never noticed.
I killed her 90% of the time and when I didn't I ignore her 2 times died in SM. Only 1 playthrough where she lives and I ignore her.

I didn't mind the outfits that much tbh. I kinda like catsuits, though. What I facepalmed at were the gratuitous ass-shots in various scenes throughout the game.

And as people have mentioned, it's kind of silly to have that degree of sexualisation in the game while making the romantic climax scenes like 13-year old dryhumping.
