what i find funny is that "most" of the people complaining here seem to be women, why i find that funny is that just like real life women have a tendancy to get very jealous over other good looking women.

several people keep bringing up Miranda as a point, and other people keep pointing out that she was genetically engineered to be perfect... maybe the reason the camera always focuses on certain points of Miranda is Bioware are trying to emphasise she has a perfect body....

sheesh people give it a rest already as Obvakhi pointed out this is the 21st century, do you remember how much females used to wear at the beach way back in the 40s, 50s compared to now?

I've got no problem with hypersexualization,  I just want some equality damnit.  I want beef with my cheese.

I do think the jealousy bit is bad form,  men are just as prone to it as women girls just have it thrust into the limelight more often because of the the main stream sexulization of women.

Not really.  I'm attracted to other women.  And men.  But also women.  And there were a lot of dudes agreeing with the OP.

And honey, I sure as hell ain't gonna be jealous of a goddamn videogame character.  Are you?

There is a fine line between casually pointing out she has a nice butt and this.

I have no problem with string bikinis.  However, when they are being worn in space and during heavy combat, I cannot take them seriously.

MMmm. I think you're onto something here...

Anyhow,I'm older...I enjoy the look miranda has, hell I friggin hate Ash,hated her from the 1st time I played ME1 long ago,I always let her die in the mission where you choose between both...I just didn't enjoy any of her charachter...I have saved her and also romanced her just to see what happens and to have different option for different gameplays....
Miranda I liked from the get go,both phisycally and her personality...I have to agree that some armor for the missions should have been there from the get go...but jack xlothes were even more ridiculus...in that sense.

But still I didn't mind...less now that you have the AAP armor to choose.( I use it always)

So,even though I get your idea and respect it...I still think it wasn't a tragedy...but as this Mass effect universe is with everything people just take things tooooo fn' seriously.

In regards Jacks foul mouth...I loved it too,I loved the fact that you had a charachter which wasn't politically correct...like you have in REAL LIFE!(by real life I mean cursing not rampaginf biotics...hehhe)

I wouldn't mind that either but, well you've got to have something behind it. It can't just be there for the sake of pandering, because that's just annoying. I wouldn't want the camera zooming in on Jacob's package just for equality's sake. Plus, Garrus is my favourite romance option, and any kind of "physical" fanservice for him would have to be rather non-conventional (and even then I'd much rather have more dialogue instead).

It's the future! Everybody's sexually emancipated and medical science is probably so advanced you can get walk in cosmetic surgery for the price of a burger... Ill admit I bought the 2nd appearance pack so I wouldn't be so embarrassed for Miranda all the time.

Now we know were all the omni gel went!!

I just want to pop in here and say that Mirands having a perfect body is Dependant on taste. The only part of Miranda actually "perfect" is how her face is perfectly symmetrical.

Which is a bit of fridge brilliance in itself, but that is another topic.

Welcome to the 21st century media.... where all women are sexualized in one way or another.

Get used to it.

Wow...I don't...

I don't even know what to say.

Really, guy?

Would you tell that to your mother? Any female family member?

If I had a daughter who expressed worry to me about this I certainly wouldn't tell her that.

We should not "get used to it." You might as well tell any group that get's degrading treatment to "get used to it."

again, do you/did you ever go out in public say to a nightclub or resturant dressed in baggy clothes, or a jumper because it might be cold that night? no? i thought not, you went dressed up to look good, well as i said Miranda was made to look good and if she has to rub it in our faces all the time like alot of women in real life also do, then the more power to her.

yes the lack of gear in rough conditions was quite odd but seriously this is a fantasy world, you are thinking a little to deep into this to be healthy lol

You do know that there's a difference between a nightclub and a battlefield.

...right?

How would you like to be greeted by a closeup of Jacob's package every time you entered the armory?

I liked her waist.

That's about it.

And only in the black costume.

This actually kind of happens when you start his romance (along with an ass shot).

But that's the thing. IT'S DURING HIS ROMANCE, NOT DURING A CONVERSATION EVERYONE GETS

God I just lol'd. :D

Thank you Cheez.

*ahem* On a similar note, it would be nice if they avoided the "I want to drag you in a closet and RAEP you" tone of Femshep's voice whenever she's just "friendly" towards a male character. Or even a female character.

I only talked to Jacob for his personal quest. Even then I smashed on the space key to skip through it.

It's so weird... I never felt like I was flirting with Jacob when I wasn't trying... but Thane? Everything I said to him was suggestive... or oddly maternal. I did not approve...

Personally? I find it hilarious when my FemShep characters talk like that. Seductresses FTW.

Let's see... They're both loud, crowded, full of flashing lights and a constant struggle of dominance between two species, the Male and the Female (perhaps not altogether at once, but I digress). Sometimes violence breaks out. Often stupid things are said and done.

Sounds pretty much the same to me! :P

On topic: I don't mind sexualization. I mean, I'm a guy, I'll admit that I like my hot characters in video games. However, I don't think it needs to be forced down our throats. For example, I find one of femshep's casual outfits, the leathery-looking one, quite successful at avoiding this, as well as LOTSB Liara and Kasumi's armor. But it doesn't feel contrived and plain stupid (high heels) as Miranda and Samara.

I do like Miranda as a character though. And her DLC armor is really nice.
