Hey guys,

although I do have the 'Worthy Rival' Achievement, the Arishok summons his Honor Guards to test me.

Any idea what triggers this bug?

Yesterday I did the Quest on the same character to try something out and it worked perfectly as it should. The only difference I can think of is that I used Orsino's Diversion yesterday while I took the frontal assault path this time.

Update: Whatever the trigger was, it wasn't the type of entry. Just tried it again using Orsino's Diversion and it didn't work either. =(

Are you sure this is a bug? I thought it was just another Qunari fight.

It's a bug. If you have the 'Worthy Rival' Achievement and thus the Arishok's respect, there shouldn't be another battle to test you.

I don't remember him ever not testing me and I've tried it both ways, with respect and without. Hm

Afterwards he says "You are basalit-an" or something...

The reason I'm so sure I wasn't tested is that I duelled him multiple times always reloading the savegame before entering the room and then skipping through the conversation. If I had had to fight his Honor Guards every time I would have noticed...

If you do not have his respect, you cannot duel him at all unless you have Fenris with you. If you have earned some regard but not as much as possible, you can duel him yourself, but you will have to go through an easy fight between 4 of his honor guard and the active party. This fight is really no big deal. If he calls you basalit-an and says "This is what respect looks like," you can duel him directly without having to fight his 4 goons first.

You didn't read the thread at all right?

Nope, I read it. If that isn't what's happening, you've got a bug. If you've got a bug, there's a forum for reporting them.

Now I've got the Worthy Rivaly Achievement as well got it on my very first play through. And even thought I've gotten his respect every paly through I've always had to fight his honor guard before I got to the dual with him. I look at it as more quanari just wanting a beat down by Hawke & Co.Image IPB I than proceed to give the Arishock a good beating. Nice way to end the day.<LOL>
