I'm assuming that Mass Effect 2 will have the same kind of integration with the social network as Dragon age does. But I'm wondering if Mass Effect 1 will get a patch to add it? Even for just PC, it would be nice to have an acheivement syncing ability for if you have to reinstall the game. That and it would make it easier to compare with friends. As it stands now, the acheivements in ME1 on pc are just kind of their with no real bonus for acheiving them, not even the ability to compare with others.

Just my two cents

That would be nice indeed. Hopefully the kinks of this site will be ironed out by then!

It has been my own presumption that all of these "Social" bells & whistles stuff is related to a far different type of gamer than those who play DA:O, more of a juvenile crowd, intellectually.  I consider MMO's as the least common denominator among gamers, about like Bejeweled or Spider Solitaire.  And they are working on a Star Wars MMO for Lucas Arts, so I suspect that's where this is all pointed toward.

(EDIT Here:  The Off-Topic Forum on the old Bioware Forums seems to be the next to be moved, in less than a week -- 11-23.)

Between the MMO's eventual release, and now, ME2 is the next release (when?  I don't think I know), so it would have been logical, I would have thought, to have added it next.

If logic has anything to do with how Bioware & EA plan their marketing (the Gore & Sex trailers last summer had no logic I could see in their use).

I'm not sure how likely that is, given that there is a separate website for the Star Wars game.

This site will support some amount of integration with ME2 game data, and other future games will definitely make use of this site to some extent. Since older games do not share the same backend infrastructure, they will not be refitted to upload any game data. The forums for those games will be migrated here eventually, however.

There are a couple of generations of Americans who won't read, barely can do so, and can barely write halfway literately.  The school system is in horrible disarray.  They do like MMOs, however, and those of us who are actually literate in our own language will eventually follow our parents into nonexistence, while our children, who are more or less "halfway literate" are fewer in number than we are (there were originally a great many boomers, as witness the numbers of pharmaceutical ads aimed at them (us, but all I take is an occasional Acetaminohen, or sinus relief pill) on the various entertainment channels!)

I think it's all (Social type trappings) aimed at the IMing, texting, semi-illiterates.

Firstly, you have posted in the completely wrong subforum. You need Mass Effect 2 Technical Support.
Secondly, this is an old topic with no relevance to your query. Please don't bump topics like this again.
Thirdly, have you directed the config utility to the folder with your save files?

You missed the point, that the extremely youthful have become addited to sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc, and EA insists that Bioware cater to them, so it had to start practicing here, using a great deal of amateur quality programming, rather than buying something off the shelf that already works.

(Dull-Fluid also missed the point.)
