I'm mainly a console gamer but I got the free ME2 digital download when I bought DA2. Well, I haven't downloaded it yet because I'm worried I won't be able to run it with my graphics card. I have an ATI X1600 Pro which is listed as below minimum system requirements in one thread and just at minimum system requirements in another. Am I going to be able to run the game at all?

It might start up but you may not get very far on it. Some of the articles listing it as a minimum card made a few mistakes and from gamers with the cards testing them proved they are not suitable. If it runs you are looking at it only being able to manage low textures and low graphical quality so it's not really the intended game experience. If i were you i'd look at upgrade options or just buy a new PC alltogether depending what you have to work with.

The fact is that neither Bioware nor EA tries very hard to keep track of what AMD and nVIDIA name their products. They actually named the X1600 Pro, in its very seldom seen "X1300 XT" alter-ego as minimum once, while at the same time reporting that an X1600 Pro was below the minimum.
The majority of X1300s, the X1400 Mobile, and the X1550 (still another Radeon re-naming, being the "Vanilla" one of the X1300 series), simply wouldn't be good enough. Factually, for ME-1, an X1600 Pro is cutting things pretty close.
For ME-2, the X1600 Pro ought to work much better than it will in ME-1.

Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.
(**)Two of the Geforce 6800s are worse than the next-lower Geforce game card, the 6600 GT, and should be avoided (6800 SE, 6800 XT).
