I think there should be some sections of the game, where you can climb around, jump and such. It would be cool if you could kill stuff while climbing.

You're comparing this game to God of War... why?

There is too little enemies and action in DA2, we crave more for DA3 to be a really great game.

EDIT: and GoW is one of many apt comparisons as to what DA should strive to become ~

Ok no , DA Should not strive to be GoW3. Let GoW be GoW and let DA be DA.
I rather they go back to Origin's style of combat much more satisfying then DA2's but DA2 is still a good game none the less.

I sincerely doubt by more awesome you mean DA2 + more awesome = Even more awesome.

I have played the Demo. Its must be a horrible game to combine combat from Die Nasty Warriors with a Story written by people with social agendas and focus groups in mind.

I am not really sure what you mean. You should play it probably. You get it for 10 bucks + ME2.

Right. No. That would not be role-playing. Role-playing is about interaction with a world and its inhabitants (and no, killing them doesn't count) it's about making decisions (and no, choosing a sword or a spell doesn't count either)  - and most importantly it's about climbing into your characters head and acting out their personality. Dialogue is an important part of that for me (I don't like playing violent, grunting characters) I like having the freedom of talking to people, of sneaking by or other non violent ways of solving a conflict - if it fits the character I'm playing. A character I make up. I do absolutely not like to be railroaded into killing tons of people.

The DA world has a certain lore, a certain setting. All this stuff you suggested would seriously break that lore - especially when it comes to combat. If there absolutely has to be fighting, I'd like it to look real. Magic is one thing, but the laws of physics still work, and they affect non magical combat. I'd like to see stuff that looks real. I can provide you with video-examples, if you like. I'm heartly sick of guys in heavy plate doing sommersaults or waving claymores around like toothpicks.

Ok ok easy. Take your time, smoke and relax. I'am doing that too now Posted Image

I know DA has a certain lore, but we can expand upon it - like you know - in DAO no one mentioned about lightsabers Posted Image (you know what i mean - meredith).

You can explain all those new things easily without breaking any lore.

"Steam tank was found while searching old primeval thaig". Look at that tank picture (i ve posted it few pages back). It is dwarven steam tank (fire is already here so i suppose steam too) and it wouldnt break any established lore.

Vampires ??? we already had werewolves in DAO - so again we wouldnt break any lore.

More enemies ??? they are lot LOT of them already - so that for sure wouldnt break any lore.

Dinosaurs - you know - The Donarks wilds are uncharted , unexplored teritories - who knows what is there ???What about  Quniar - few hundreds years ago they just camed from nowhere.

I can continue but i hope you can see already how easy it is to add awesome elements to DA3 without p....ing everyone.

Sadly I live in good old Euoropa. I will have to wait for the prices to fall even further. That should be like next monday.

An other example of what I propose would be a good direction - an other ugly paintover, and obviously the top one is the original image.

Have you checked this forum? I think on amazon.uk it was for 12 or 13 pounds, and probably dlc content inclusive and another great game. I wouldn't hold my breath too long because prices could rise again once they emptied their store rooms.

Hardly. The prices are going to drop for DA2. Anyway I don't want ME2 (I hated ME).

ME2 is better. I mean and this price. for 2 games. How bad could they be that it's not worth buying? Unless you are busy and don't have alot of free time anyway.

Yup. I have had a tight schedule lately and I pre-ordered TW2 (collector edition). So my pockets are light. I prefer to wait for prices to drop and then get the UE with all the DLC they will release. Honestly I have huge problems with the DLC scenario. I don't care for the cosmetic sh*t like sowrd of this and underwear of that, but I care for the story. Bioware has an EXTREMELY BAD policy of putting core story elements in DLC (witch-hunt, Agmarrak etc), which is unethical according to me. I can't support that.

I think Qunari would be better suited for any type of siege weapon.

Vampires ??? we already had werewolves in DAO - so again we wouldnt break any lore.

Vampires within reason to the game I might tolerate. But we kinda already have vampires. Hunger demons possessing a living person

Well it's an ugly paint over, but I tried to make it feel more realistic and intense, for example I changed the muscles of Aveline, roughed up her hair a bit - and tried to show how a corpse explosion could be seen.

Really what we get in DA2 is rather mudane, and given all the dead people the grounds are barely covered in blood or limbs.

And thanks AlexXIV and xkg, I do try, but it's only a paint over, and it's rough.

That is one terrific idea! Clowns! I'd love hords of sinister, evil clowns. And killing them in exciting manners.
Thank you for your contribution. This thread is seriously threatened to be derailed by everybody wanting to argue here. Can't they do that in other threads? This thread is for suggestions on spicing up action in DA3 to "unreasonable" Posted Image (- pfft, "unreasonable", as if that exists)  levels.

Its not so much the paint over its just.. too much blood. For games such as GoW and Devil may cry and **** tons of others have excessive blood. and thats fine. All that blood for Da2 would ruin it for me , blood is fine but not when i see river's of it.

In DA2 you can kill say 20 enemies in one fight easily, most explode, so most of the blood would either splatter, or form clouds of blood, or at least leave the limbs now disconnected from the body.

On flat stone floors we are talking 20x5 liters of blood in one small area, what you see in DA2 is almost nothing compared to what you would see if the game was remotely real in this regard.

Or consider how much wall you could paint with a 100 liters of paint.

And, randName, I see something wrong with your picture with Aveline.
We should have all fighters, male and female, in thong-armor. Think Frazetta, Vallejo, Royo.

Wasn't the larger breasts and bigger cut enough? not to mention the holes in her pants? I'm almost offended ~

I'm actually divided here, wait I'll try the skimpy one - I'll attempt a cheap Red Sonja clone

yes im aware of that but if i kill 20 enemies in theroy there should be blood every where all over the place permanently until someone comes and cleans it up but I wouldn't wanna be running threw Kirkwall and just see red walls ( now mind you might make for a nice change of pace from the current bland color lol) now from all the bastards ive slaughtered.

And when they explode from a spell yes that makes sense but my god when i shoot them with a normal bow shot? no they shouldnt explode lo. even with a 1h or 2h sword they wouldnt explode cut in half? sure but geez not explode lol.

Well DG already said they will handwave as much as necessary for the story.

"Steam tank was found while searching old primeval thaig". Look at that tank picture (i ve posted it few pages back). It is dwarven steam tank (fire is already here so i suppose steam too) and it wouldnt break any established lore.

Yeah Qunari are rather progressive anyway. I mean from explosives to steam tank it is not really a stretch.

Vampires ??? we already had werewolves in DAO - so again we wouldnt break any lore.

Vampires within reason to the game I might tolerate. But we kinda already have vampires. Hunger demons possessing a living person

Well demons are bound to the Fade etc. A true vampire would be a cursed being of the primal world.

Dinosaurs - you know - The Donarks wilds are uncharted , unexplored teritories - who knows what is there ???What about  Quniar - few hundreds years ago they just camed from nowhere.

What dragons aren't enough for you? I do not want to see dinosaurs in this game.

Well take away the wings of a dragon and you have a giant gecko. It would also be more anatomical correct since having 4 legs plus wings does not really happen anywhere in our world.
