Hi Ms Domino,

I have been checking the actual store and this forum each day. I assume by social media outlets you refer to Facebook or Twitter? Surely the notice would not go up earlier on these sites than on this forum? Looking at the store pages I am not seeing any Facebook or Twitter links so was not even aware.

I appreciate that you are based in the US and that we will always have a time zone issue. But I am a big boy now and can stay up late or even all night (there were certainly many late nights while playing the games!).

All I ask is that we know in advance. This thread is  titled "Cerberus Lithograph Pre-Sale - Starting Now!" which is just crazy. Like you have one department updating the web site and another handling PR and them not talking to each other.

Well as I explained in my pm to you Ms Domino, we understand its hard to get right. Catering to a worldwide fanbase is always difficult so I do understand. You have limited quantities and a global audience. But you already were doing a great business model which worked for everyone and we were happy with it.

You announced when the Litho's were realised in plenty of time so people could get prepared. Having a set date of say available 26th April (announcing it a week before) with several separate release times meant people had warning and opportunity. If people wernt around then they had time to change plans or make alternative arrangements.

Therefore I fail to understand how "..quite a few people who wouldn't normally be able to purchase.. " comes from? That makes no sense, because using your past business practice you have already given warning of release.

This pre-release was out the blue. You cant deny that. You posted releases with no warning with no one prepared, especially fans across the globe who had no idea as they were asleep. I was waiting for a release announcement from you because thats what you last message too us was.

Im writing this out of concern more then anything else, but Im sure you can see from the time Im spending writing how frustrating this is. Im just so glad theres still 250 left, just please please please give us more warning for them.

I think they also did it in consideration of ebay sellers waiting in the wings to snag them. Its another unfortunate case of the few ruining it for the many.

Maybe from now on,. one lot can be surprise, the other planned? And always include a one or two person limit.

Also feel i should point out the planned method doesnt technically work for everyone, and definitely not on their servers which were constantly buggering up under the strain.

maybe in a way their 'pilotting' new methods and testing the water with them? Ok fine we might miss out but plenty of us have done before.

What crash said... Going out and buying a smartphone doesn't help me much if I'm left in the dark when they're released

I am not suggesting a planned release at a specific time. Just a heads up that sometime on a certain day some would go on sale.
There didn't seem to be any issues during the final sales a couple of weeks back - the servers were always responsive while polling for updates and I had no issues during the purchase.

I never had server issues when buying Lithos. In fact other then the odd person saying, it slowed down I never heard it stopped someone getting a litho all together.

People selling them on ebay is an issue, but they can only put item limits to prevent this. Stopping people buying to sell on is nigh-on-impossible. Like you say few ruining for the many in that case.

Really? Loads of us had the issue. On the character lithos especially. You'd put in your basket as early as one minute in, click submit, it'd take forever and eventually time out. By the time you tried again they were sold out. Had a reason from Jedi somewhere....

Thinking about it the lithos are getting released later and later then promised the past few months (or being dropped like Morrigan or Purgatory). Maybe we cant have a date since they've no idea themselves :P

True but once printed they have to sell them. Giving advanced warning of that date isn't too much to ask.

Is there any chance that we will get a notice about when the next set will be released (at least a day in advanced)?

I am a little disappointed in that there was no notice at all until the moment they were released. Also, I signed off the BioWare Social Network less than 30 minutes before this topic was posted, so I managed to miss out completely.

There's a bunch of people here who missed out, but I think the key thing to remember is, it's not just what the forty or so of us who frequent this part of the forum want, Treehouse needs to move stock too. Right now they have 6 lithographs priced at 25% off; if they'd released them unannounced (the first 250), and then the second 250 were annnounced, they wouldn't be sitting on hundreds of lithographs, which can mean thousands of dollars of potential sales down the drain.

There are a handful available now. 11 last I checked. Must've been orders that didn't go through. Good luck!

All gone in seconds.

They were there though because I managed see tahoe post almost immediately and go and grab one (Thank you so much for posting that! I appreciate it)

More frustration for everyone else though because now you need to watch the Bioware store constantly to get lucky? Or simply wait for an announcement later

250 more at a unannounced date trekkie, should be within the next couple of weeks. So dont panic, they haven't all sold out yet

This was just a pre-order system it appears they are experimenting with. I hope it was just an experiment to be honest.

I assume that handful is from cancelled orders, and they wont be staggering the release of the other 250 a dozen at a time.

Tocque, how on earth do you get that? The lithos that are still sitting there are because they arent really character lithos...and don't feature anything prominent that people care about. Most people aren't after lithos because of the artistry, they're after them because of the content. The ones that are sitting there...oh, it's a hallway, oh, looks it's a more bland hallway. Oh, it's a glass hallway. Look, a hallway with a tree in it! I'm not saying they aren't beautiful lithos...actually purgatory and pragia are two of my favorites, but it doesn't surprise me that most people aren't interested.

Does anyone know how many times Lithos that sell out go back in stock due to people canceling/payment didn't go through? It already happened once, what are the chances it will happen again today?

Dunno.  I'm not sure if payment problems are likely as it doesn't reserve goods prior to the payment being authorised (though admittedly that doesn't guarantee that there won't be problems when it's processed; probably rare, though) hence a lot of people unhappy about their order failing due to lack of stock even after they'd added it to their basket.

I hadn't even considered that people would actually cancel after all that aggravation though!  I suppose it must happen.

i announced on all of our social media outlets as soon as i was able.

it was only a limited release of the lithos, not all of them, and quite a few people who wouldn't normally be able to purchase were thrilled at the opportunity.

i am sorry for those that are unhappy, but with limited edition items it is extremely difficult to please everyone.

250+ cerberus lithographs are still available for purchase when they are once again released.

There's nothing on Twitter... who exactly do we have to follow to get this news? I've followed Treehouse, Bioware, Dragon Age and Mass Effect on both Twitter and Facebook, and I still didn't see any thing. Granted, I've deleted Dragon Age and Mass Effect as I'm sick of bioware posting ME stuff on the DA accoutns and vice versa, but seriously? There's nothing on the Treehouse Twitter account at all! Is it really that much to ask that you have a well defined method of announcement for these where we know where to watch (i.e., a service with push notifications like Twitter)?

This no warning thing frankly sucks. We all have stuff going on in our personal lives. I've been working 12 hour days and just brought my daughter home from the hospital. I don't have time to check the forums/website constantly, but I've been doing what I can to stay up to date so I don't miss it. And still, I miss it.

And for what, to confound the ebayers as others have suggested? I only found out about this *on* ebay (at a ludicrious price of $280/$250 too) when I started seeing hits on my ebay RSS feed. Epic success that was. If you want to cut out on the ebayers, increase the numbers. Clearly for the popular lithos, you could easily get away with 1000 or more. Some complain that they're not as limited, but that's still a tiny fraction of the total population of the players that get to see it. Or do what some other companies do and relase unsigned versions that are the same size and not limited.

But can we get at least a day to watch for the rest? It's upsetting enough that you released fully half of them in an unannounced sale during a holiday weekend. It allows no time for those of us with jobs and family obligations to prepare for the sale but the ebayers have proven that they're willing to sit on the forums all day and watch for these, even the surprise sales aren't enough to elude them. May it's time to start tracking who gets what number and banning the repeat offenders from the store. You can't prevent people from doing what they want with their lithos, but you can prevent them from buying them again. Remember, you have the right to refuse service to anyone.

Every change you guys make just angers more of your fan base and energizes the ebay crowd. The only one that would ****** off the fewest fans (I know a few elitists on the board will object) and confound the ebayers is to increase the print numbers, which is a win-win for you guys. But please don't pull the rug out from under us again. Really nasty surprise to wake up on Saturday and see all of these gone, even with another pre sale in the wings.

So, will the 2nd batch of the lithos be released randomly again or will we finally get an announcement of the date and time the lithos gonna be on sale? There's nothing one can do about completely excluding the e-Bayers, the only thing Treehouse does is pissing off the "normal" customers. If there was an announcement about the pre-sale I would have gladly stayed up for a bit longer in order to buy a litho and I'm sure lots of others would do it too, but no, the PR department probably thought that some trolling would be more appreciated.
Well, I can only hope that such way of selling lithos would be found unacceptable by Treehouse and future lithos, as well as the 2nd batch of Cerberus' ones, will be sold with an announcement of the exact time and date beforehand.
