Sentimental value is still there, and the less scarcity makes it a lot more difficult to profit on ebay!
I wish there were some other way of getting notified of upcoming releases, like on twitter or something instead of checing this forum every day.

The whole scalper thing is very annoying. The solution really is to just make a lot more prints and have the author just sign more. I'm sure he wouldn't mind getting a few bucks for every signature.

That would be an interesting proposition for a business. "Let's not focus on selling our products; instead let's focus on making sure people don't sell our products on eBay for high prices and spend less time making money for ourselves."

LOL! This made me laugh!
I think you will always get people who resell for profit, no matter how you do it, they will always find a way!
It is what it is I guess and although I missed the launch of Cerberus litho, I'll be there for the 2nd batch

Ebay sellers who bought 2 in the pre sale will go for two again in the final release. Tree house probably won't release all of the last 250. They will probably hold 30-40 back for as final release months later.

No that is not what I said!
I said, let's make more of these than 500 sell more of these and prevent these dang scalpers from profiting. If there is enough supply, prices will go down on outside market and Treehouse will still profit more. There is minimal burden on printing and signing these. You can even increase the price on these if they sell for $150+ on ebay easily.
People on ebay is indirectly profiting from a product created/supplied by Treehouse. There is no reason they can't cut those people off and make it less worthwhile. I would say 3-5x the investment is pretty good profits and that there is plenty of demand.
Let's maximize supply and demand, while keeping the sentimental "value" for our customers. That sounds like a great business, but not sure how you came to the your conclusion based on what I wrote in the earlier post.

From Treehouse's Facebook page, doesn't say how many but there's the heads up for those who missed out first time round.

jords, I ordered a lithograph 2-pack last month, shipping to Australia. The lithographs were packaged back to back in a clear plastic bag with a piece of thin card between them. This was enclosed in a thick cardboard sleeve, which was itself inside a slightly larger thick cardboard box. There was no visible damage to any layer of packaging and the lithographs themselves were in perfect condition.
thanks man appreciate it, will look into getting some this weekend (if I can get up early)

^Numbers are totally random.

It came in a thick cardboard box. However, I noticed 2 dents in the packaging. There are NO stickers saying "fragile" or "do not bend"

No worries though. The lithos came sandwiched between two thick sheets of cardboard.
I've ordered mini-lithos before but this was my first time ordering a large litho. I'm very happy about the packaging.

On their side, every listing has a specific number of product...when the number trickles down to 0, the 'out of stock' mention clicks on...but as far as that Litho goes, what is currently being considered was just the 1st release - the pre-sale...more will be sold on the 29th (tomorrow), in which they will add a specific number to the listing, which will turn off the 'out of stock' mention until the number gets down to 0 once again. (Note: this will likely happen twice more, since there will be two separate releases tomorrow.)
Thanks a lot

I was initially sort of hesitant to even get this litho. But since I've decided to collect everyone eventually, I did. Now that i've got him in person, I'm quite glad I did, very impressive in person!
Oh yeah, no, the N7 decals didn't come with it/from treehouse, those are from elsewhere, they just happened to show up today too!
Edit: for those curious I'd like to confirm the shipping is well done, two thick cardboard flats, one on each side of the print, inside the box. the print itself is in the plastic sleeve with the thin backer behind it. Basically the same as after the fix from the first run of prints that took some damage.
Mine has one very subtly bent corner. Considering how bent at the corners Tali was and how she has flattened out perfectly in the frames with no sign of the corner bends, I'm not even thinking about this bend, it will fix itself after I've matted and framed this!
If you're still wanting more, I can take some closer, clearer shots of the bent edge, unsleeved print, packaging, etc.

Has anyone ordered a litho overseas? say as far as New Zealand? If so how is the packaging?
I'm in New Zealand and have ordered the last five characters lithos (Normandy SR2 and Tali are up on the wall). They all arrived in a timely fashion and in good order. Most did have slight bends on the corners as others have reported.
And I should update my signature with all of those when I get home...

they ship random numbers always have the last person to order is just as likely to get number 1 as anyone else
You sure about that? The ones that have been mentioned on this thread are very close in number (384, 398, and 400). I'm thinking that they're sitting in stacks in the warehouse in reverse order and whenever they ship one they just grab one from the top of the stack and ship it. It makes sense if you think about it. The artist starts signing them beginning with 1 and keeps going till he gets to 500, while placing them in nice neat little stacks. Doesn't make much sense for Treehouse to shuffle them or start pulling them from the middle of the stack
