This is BS!

So far this entire farce from beginning to end has been crappy from damaged shipments (repeatedly) of lithgraphs to royal screw ups like this. Sure, they have tried to make amends, but gheeez...

This is bull****. I've been waiting here for this 2nd release and just now read what happened. I demand that more of these be printed. Unnumbered. I don't care. This is a disgrace.

Oh wow, that stinks. I didn't realize they released all of them this morning. So they sold all 250 in 7 mins?

This entire release setup has only lead to massive failure. It is also the only time I have missed out on a litho release. Saying I am upset is putting it mildly.

To make it worse, they said they pulled 40 back like they always do (for replacements and such) and they said that that's what people have to look forward to if they missed the release. IDK how you mess up 3 releases of the same lithograph.

Agreed. Also the first time I've missed one since I started collecting them.

Let's see:
1) Stealth release when Ms Domino told us she'd tell us of the release time/date as soon as she had info except she said it 5 mins after the release (Whaaat?)
2) Another stealth release of a few of them the next day
3) It was said to be a split release giving people that go to school/work/etc. a chance to get the litho later in the day but due to a "system error" they released all 250 at once
4) A third stealth release of the litho today approximately 2 hours after they sold out in the morning.

All of this info is taken from other people who were there at the releases btw

I was thankful to be online looking at the site at just the right time and got one....

HOWEVER, I missed out on EVERY OTHER litho sale for some reason or another....but ya know...whats done is done....yea it sucks...REALLY sucks...but there is no use dwelling on the past....Printing more is not fair to those who did get them...whether it be this particular litho or one in the past, like the Citadel for example. Printing a ton only makes them lose their personal value. I mean how terrible would it be if Bioware was like...yea, apparently the Citadel was really popular, so now we are just going to mass market them. They already kind of did it by making mini-lithos. It totally ruins the uniqueness of the piece. People buy these, not just because they love the game, and that they are completely awesome....but being part of that group of 3-4-500 people that got one as well. It would be like taking a rare car and deciding to make a ton of them, totally loses its appeal. Its the whole idea of making something "Limited". People love to have what others can't. Call me what you will and say its easy for me to say because I got one...but, I've been in the same shoes before.

NOW...
I have a second one because I bought two on accident due to miscommunication between a friend and I. If someone is interested in negotiating a deal, PM me.

That's why they should have an approach simular to the Valve Store. Create a limitmed collectors edition set that are numbered and are signed by the artist, or even come with bonuses. BUT also release a larger amount of un-numbered, un-signed lithos for those of us, like myself, who would just like to have some quality ME merch.

It would allow BioWare to sell more product and then, hopefully, make more money so they can support more lithos in the future. I think it's win-win. Unsigned lithos could help fund more collectors items for those out there who are into that.

Also, it's win-win because although you might get 500 satisfied customers. How many ME fans are out there right now whho are feeling pretty UNsatisfied!

I just want something nice for my wall... :(

My understanding is that the mini-lithos haven't been selling to well. Which is interesting, considering they were the compromise we all agreed upon. Frankly, if they would release every litho as a mini, I'd purchase them all.

Maybe the problem with the minis is that they are much smaller than the original lithos? I, for one, don't care about this limited stuff and the fact that my lithos are signed and numbered, I just like to have some ME eye-candy on the wall. So if Bioware made more lithos of the same size as the "main ones", but unsigned and unnumbered, I would have gladly bought them, because I don't get the fuss about the litho being signed and stuff. So yeah, it would be a win-win situation.

Everyone loves a lil eye candy, ;) and that is certainly understandable....I think what might be interesting, is if they made a ceratin style, limited and numbered...that a person might have to be on their toes to get....AND THEN another set of lithos that are of a DIFFERENT design (but still high quality, larger size and awesome) that are not signed and numbered.  This way people dont have to settle for a smaller size and at the same time making the limited ones ones...still "limited". ??:D

Basically, what im saying is that people should have to work a little harder to get the one they REALLY want. Its the way of the world.  No such thing as a win/win.  You mass produce the limited lithos...they become not so limited...making the appeal of them being limited...not so appealing. Especially to those who stared at their computer for hours and days and have even spent extra money to get the one they want.

That, and for a long time the intended size of the mini lithos was 13x19, not 12x16. That's a significant decrease in size. Frankly, I would be very interested in mini lithos of the early ones I missed, but 12x16 is just too small for me. I was going to compromize on the 13x19, but with the amount of white space already on the lithos, the art on the mini lithos is just too small.

There is a trade thread somewhere in here, yes.
