Every time I played a rogue I used that specialization, simply to have the spider. No wolves, no bears. Just the spider. SO CUTE. I loved the sound they made when walking too, reminded my of typing on a keyboard. I would trade the dog for a giant spider without hesitation. 

Of course, having a pet tarantula may make me a bit biased... :innocent:

I'm not a spider person irl, at all, but I loved that pet spider.  I named him "Alistair" and immortalised him in a fanfic snippet.  He was great fun. *skitter* *ovewhelm*

The nice thing about DA2 is that there are just SO MANY giant  spiders in and around Kirkwall. It's like 500% more spiders than in the novels and 1000% more spiders than in DAO.
