any spoiler on the videos orbit991?

Nothing terrible, some of these videos you may not even get in your game since a couple of them are a result of the choice you made earlier. Just dialogue for the begining of a couple minor quests and trailer like vids. Mostly from the Alpha version of the build.

Whoever that WabeWalker is (Probably some ignorant bio drone from these forums), HE GOT FKN BURNED.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

"STFU and go make sandwich for Anders" - EPIC ;)

Btw, a little village in Wyzima felt more alive than whole Kirkwall.

I just wanna know where did you hear repeated dungeons/environments from?

Every preview we have seen so far is the same build that was sent out to critics to play and write about. Ofcourse we only have heard of Flotsam and the prison escape and I remember that one video on youtube Geralt dying to Drowners.

Only the prologue is linear same as in Witcher 1. I wanna know where you heard the game is entirely linear. Even DA2 let's you do quests in any order and explorer (not much but w/e)

We have no details on side quests yet. All we know is there are no question marks so we are gonna have to look for them. Also no fedex quests so no kill this and get this item. Sounds like sidequests can be more involving this time around.

Witcher 1 has a predetermined character do you know why? It's based off a book series. Witcher 1 turned out to be a great game and CDProjekt like everything else in the game has made him better.

I was actually talking about TW1. And my point was more that I don't think these are major issues in either game, just that it's a weird double standard.

Also, I had a long post ready to submit, but the Windows Update window popped up while I was typing. I hit the spacebar and the stupid thing restarted. I hate Windows sometimes...

Well either way Witcher 2 has had A LOT of changes that I think you should look into.

Oh and no half ass DLC apparently!

You know this makes me laugh....really

Very short

If the Witcher 2 receives post-release DLC it won't "be a sword pack," the game's producer Tomasz Gop has told VG247.

"I can’t say anything specific, I can't promise anything for sure, but what I can say is that if at any point in the future we will be announcing and then releasing DLC for the Witcher 2, it's definitely not going to be a sword pack or anything," said Gop.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to The Witcher 2. Probably not a day 1 purchase but I'll get it eventually. Maybe once they release an enhanced edition...

In regards to DLC though, I do seem to remember them saying that one of their DLC ideas was a one off potion that would let you resurrect your character if you were playing on hard core mode. I know it's optional but that feels a bit like they're banking on people getting really close to the end of the campaign, dying and not wanting to start over. I know, I'm too cynical for words.

But but, I want a new sword. Seriously though, that whole EA Sims store thing being applied to an rpg is very cheesy. On the other hand for virtually no work it makes them money. So it's a bit of a juggling act, be cheesy or make extra cash, we know what corporate bean counters pick.

Hardcore mode will wipe your saves instantly, no potion would save you. Dead and blam deleted. Unless it was a potion that you took before combat(as you cant use potions during)that prevents the deletion , if so link would be nice.

I was wrong. It was Gamesradar, not PC Gamer, my mistake. Here. For ease though:

"Not without a sense of mercy, Kanik added that there will be an option
to come back to the game sometime in the future. The only catch? It'll
cost you."Of course we plan to have a resurrection scroll, maybe DLC or
something. You'll see."

How am I trolling? I didn't realise that taking a wait and see approach with The Witcher 2 was such blasphemy. I personally think it's quite fair as the first game did have some irritating issues that they'd have to fix for The Witcher 2 to be amazing. Just because CD Projekt says they've fixed the issues doesn't mean they have. Playing devil's advocate doesn't equal trolling.

Yeah Im playing through The Witcher 1 atm getting ready for number 2, Its gonna be awesome =D.. I agree that The Witcher 2 and indeed the first one were better than DA2 imo, not far superior but still superior. But when it comes to DAO? Well nothing beats that in my books.. Im curious though, with Triss as a primary character in this one how tense would things be if we chose Shani as Alvins protector over her?

Also Im up to the Bank atm should I help the Squirrals or the Order (I plan to go Neutral at descision time but want to spare Seigfried later, will my descision here effect that?

No idea XxDeonxX, they are very tight on those things, really the only things they leaked are from prologue and the first chapter, but very little detail wise. I'm curious also but I picked Triss. The only thing I know for now is that whatever path you took regarding factions or neutrality will be recognized.
Was wondering if Princess Adda will be around, I broke the Striga curse, but some might have killed her. I really liked her character she was so cocky but then so fragile.

As far as the bank, this might be funky choice wise. I'm not sure what happens if you wait for Ziegfried and then negotiate. Maybe the same result as if you dont wait, but I lost he's frienship in this part and some things indicated that there might have been a way not to and still help the squirrls. I helped them since they told me a half truth and like a bonehead I didnt really think of the consequences, then again Order might have been worse. But I still managed to go neutral, I think the big test is towards the end in a small village.

@uberdowzen thanks for the link. I may play insanity on a third play through, the first two should be quite different and I don't want to die somewhere at 75% done. If they do indeed do some kind of a resurrection add on I hope it can only be used once.

I'm gonna have to order The Witcher off of Amazon. I don't usually play PC games due to the hassle of installing them with my computers, but hell the hassle for The Witcher 2 seems worth it. So in order for me to fully enjoy the hassle of TW2, I'll need to enjoy the hassle of TW.

In other words, TW2 looks epic and I wish I had known about this series a while back.

Cool thanks for the reply, just wondering though were you able to spare Seigfried in the end when you went neutral?

Do you watch James Bond movies? Or any movies with male protagonist on the spotlight?

Ah, I see, a hypocrit :(

Edit: (Was about to say Good! The Witcher doesn't want you anyway to be one of the incoming hordes of masses doing mass effect, that is dumbing down the game and making it politically correct kiddy "PEGI 18". But since they can want ur money, well, I did not say it.)

[spoilers]Yes you can, you can wind up sparing both of them if you choose the right option (telling Siegfried not to kill peasants by telling him he should be killing the scoia'tael instead, which he seems to take as 'go and kill any elves he see's', which is the point I realised he wasn't such a nice guy after all), however, you also have to fight both of them in the dream sequence at the end, and you pretty much have to fight both sides throughout the end sequence.[/spoilers]

You obviously do, since you are posting here.
Bet you are one of those who are incredibly hung up on the sexcards(despite TW2 not having them at all). Image IPB

EDIT: Oh, completely forgot. It's 'apparently' misogynyst too!

What's wrong playing a game that the protagonist is a male? Heck i even make female characters too in games just to try them out how different it plays out.

you don't know that male gamers should play male characters and female gamers should play female characters?! ...wow.

But seriously only female's have some problems with play as a male... strange.

It's probably vastly more sexist, too.

I like that the world feels more realistic, just like the racism in Witcher world, so why not sexism too? Makes immersion better. It's bit darker than DA games are, which is a good thing. :)

Or do you mean those cheap "pin-up" cards? Or that women happen to want to have sex with the main character?

I always play as male when there is a choice. But didn't mind playing as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 3. But, usualy I rather not.
