The Witcher 2 is 'vastly, vastly better than Dragon age 2'

TW2 is basically a true dark fantasy and there's no good or evil choices more like shades of grey. The moment you saved a lady from bunch of guards it may turn out that she is actually a succubus or something, for example. So it's not like you always did the right thing.
Perhaps people are more onto Lords of the Rings where the good vs the evil fantasy? I admit i love LOTR honestly.

I not mean every female have problems with that. I just not know male who would have problems with playing as female.
Right here lol

No idea XxDeonxX, they are very tight on those things, really the only things they leaked are from prologue and the first chapter, but very little detail wise. I'm curious also but I picked Triss. The only thing I know for now is that whatever path you took regarding factions or neutrality will be recognized.
Was wondering if Princess Adda will be around, I broke the Striga curse, but some might have killed her. I really liked her character she was so cocky but then so fragile.
As far as the bank, this might be funky choice wise. I'm not sure what happens if you wait for Ziegfried and then negotiate. Maybe the same result as if you dont wait, but I lost he's frienship in this part and some things indicated that there might have been a way not to and still help the squirrls. I helped them since they told me a half truth and like a bonehead I didnt really think of the consequences, then again Order might have been worse. But I still managed to go neutral, I think the big test is towards the end in a small village.
@uberdowzen thanks for the link. I may play insanity on a third play through, the first two should be quite different and I don't want to die somewhere at 75% done. If they do indeed do some kind of a resurrection add on I hope it can only be used once.
Cool thanks for the reply, just wondering though were you able to spare Seigfried in the end when you went neutral?
Yes you can, depending on the diolog you choose with him. Just save after you talk to the king and Dandilion in that alley.
@ElnVld As far as this game being for males I dont think the many female fans of this game got the memo, the book series was popular with both sexes so meh. Besides go to their forum you will see female players. But I do get that some females may be turned off from playing a guy, but one cant generalise to a full extent. There are some very strong female characters in that game btw, Triss looks particularly feisty in the sequel.

I don't care about Witcher 2. This game is for male players.
Bioware won't let a female on the cover of Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Just saying.
Witcher is just being realisitic with the racism and sexism in the game. Do the developers come off as racist or sexist? Imo no they don't they do come off as people who care about the game world and it's characters though.

Btw some of you heard ther will be almost no loading screens in this game. I just watched another video and I couldnt belive it. Witcher walks up to one of the doors that leads him out of the castle, opens it and there is this huge vista of the outside world, an entire city and you just continue play without a load. This is a pretty impressive engine they built.

Yup! If you have a Quad Core or more CDProjekt said it will take advantage of every core you have. They showed it running on 6 cores and that an because of the engine it can use a CPU to continously load the environments with out disrupting gameplay.

Yeah, that's what i said about Rift
Hell i can run Crysis on max, so why wouldn't i be able to run something with vastly worse graphics on max?
Well appearntly i had to turn it on low because the programmers have down syndrom
People are gonna buy TW2 for 2 reasons
Because "OMG GRAPHIX" and "OMG ITTS SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN DA2"

He probably couldn't even buy the Witcher 2 as his parent disallows it. But no worries you have Dragon Age 2 and you can probably nag your parent alot to buy you that awesome $5 outfit pack?

There is a Polish Playboy and guess who was the cover for it this month.
Triss Merigold. They actually used a video game character and did a few nude photos of her for a layout. And if you find the images, there appears to be some sort of interview. There is one comment with Playboy next to it, followed by a comment with the name Triss next to it. But it's all in Polish, so I can't read it. So it would appear they did some sort of interview for a fictional character.
Out of curiosity, is there anyone here that can read Polish and tell me if that's an interview, and what it could possibly be about?

Well I'm getting Witcher 2 because I really liked Witcher 1. The fact that I have a pretty amazing computer is besides the point. Do your parents not give big enough allowance? Are you mad because you bought Rift? Rift is just a prettier WoW you know.
Games evolve naturally. Crysis 1 is no longer the beast it once was. Rift is an MMO so ofcourse you'd get a worse framerate, walking to Stormwind in WoW will kill your framerate too. Witcher 2 is supposedly made to be very scalable. If your the type of person who has to play on max settings maybe you should get a console.
And just because Witcher 2 has really good graphics doesn't mean it can't have a good story.
