What I found bothersome is that though Sheala de Tancarville has no interest in anything but magical research, she still feels the need to show off a massive cleavage.

I guess, CD Projekt gonna CD Projekt.

Well I know sometimes Geralt is merciful, but "hey let's fool around" from a vampire should get a "uh... no" IMO.  And from that point on, they attack him, so it's self-defense.  Besides, they are turning others into vampires, so they got to go.

They weren't turning other people into vampires, they only turned "Blue Eyes" girl to save her from her brother (and IIRC Blue Eyes agreed to be turned). That's the only reason why I spared them.

Higher vampires are quite different from the bloodthirsty kind that lurks around in crypts, Geralt even had a vampire friend in his previous life.

Amazing is all I have to say.  This game looks to be the most immersive fantasy World ever conceived in a video game! Image IPB

Oh, don't forget about Skyrim. :P

Please not again.... check water in Skyrim -_-. End of this discussion.

Done that. You get mad loot too. But I prefer to let the vamps live. They're just taking a little blood...:)

Nice- although it would seem to add further evidence to no Shani in the game....Its kind of goofy how just about every one of those descriptions of the women starts out how they're super duper hot and sexy. Not to mention how even the soldier/knight warrior woman Saskia has to have a convenient spot to bare her cleavage in full plate armor.

But it is nice to see more sorceresses too. I've got to replay TW1 as its been a while but I liked how Triss and the sorceresses always seemed rather shady and like they had ulterior motives. And I guess I had forgotten that they're all supposed to be quite old by human standards too- do they use magic to keep themselves looking good or are they not truly human? I'm definitely not up on my Witcher lore...

I find her exposed cleavage rather modest by video game standards. I'm sure we'll see some ugly women too, but I'm loving these charcter models, especially the way they dress.

Yeah, its nothing crazy looking or gratuitous, but even still it would be nice to have a decent looking character that didn't need to ncessarily be showing skin to get the point across that they're good looking. Thats why I like Triss' look- she isn't necessarily showing any skin, bit still looks good.

Although I suppose you could argue it might be hot in a bunch of plate armor^_^

And I've no doubt there will likely be some nasty looking ladies too- its The Witcher afterall:P

So, does it needs to be a video to be better or not? Huh. Anyway, here. NOT a video, but the article has pretty good screenshots of the environment.

I have read articles that's why. Lots of developers CLAIM to do things and others actually do them. Radiant AI wasn't so great after all nor Oblivion. Also this is a Witcher 2 thread not a Skyrim one.

LOL. I was just pointing a fact out, after reading an statement. Don't need to get touchy!

I am not blind, you know, I know the difference between 'Skyrim' and 'The Witcher 2'. STILL, that was just ONE comment, which you didn't need to reply since it wasn't directed to you, but you did.

Well Isabela is a rogue not really a knight. If you want to compare I would go with Aveline and well I think there isn't must to say.

This is not realist is more like fashionable :/ and for someone modest really? they should put her in a fullplate. I think Ves is doing a better job, she seem to like light clothes.

If you go for protecting over speed, well that is ok but Saskia armor is awful in the protection part.

Aveline and Saskia are remarkably similar. I like them both, so far.

I'm fine with Saskia's armor. It's a step up from the usual bikini armor we see. Both Bioware and CD red are making progress in this regard. Just compare it to something like Gears of War, where all the men look like Mattel action figures.

IMHO we should just use the original Witcher thread
It's kind of ridiculous to have 3 active Witcher threads

I like Aveline too not sure about Saskia if it was only by the design meh but I have to see her personalty too, isn't this ironic lol

In my opinion bioware is doing a better job but in that article all the characters seem to be screaming "I'm sexy" and well, not all should be like that. Saskia is the modest soldier, so her armor is not that believable, guess they still have a long way to go.

I don't like Gears of Wars to must of a sausage fest to me.

As a fan of tough women in realistic armor, I have to say Saskia's design is disappointing. It looks neither protective nor interestingly designed. I like that she wears plate over her belly, but why not cover her chest too? It looks like she is wearing an incomplete suit of armor as is.

Granted, this is far from the worst armor design I have seen in a game. It is merely nothing to write home about unless comparing it to Aribeth's platemail or something out of "Sacred" or "Rift". :P Were I to grade it in terms of realistic and non-sexualized representation I would probably give it a C+ or a B at most.

It will be interesting to see how women in "the Witcher 2" are portrayed. I know it takes place in a crapsack world, and expect a heaping helping of sexism and worse, but that article Brock linked to was just... blergh. There was not one description there that failed to mention how each woman is sexy is some fashion. They try to bury it by saying X and X is capable, powerful, or whatever, but it sends a very mixed message. Unfortunately I will have to hope someone whose opinions I trust buys the game and gives that aspect a thorough review, since I will not have the opportunity.

I caved and bought the Witcher 2 today, hopefulley it will prvoide some hours of entertainment. I need something to do now that Rift is done and while I wait for SWTOR, which seems not to be released for another six months..

So I'm willing to try this game and hopefulley it kicks ass, or I'm going wish I bought the sims2.
