The witcher 2 have great contents.. All ambients seem really alive in the video i seen living city with people busy to do theyr job...Also those scary sex scenes i seen a video with triss and geralt.. Nothing voulgar but an awesome romantic erotic scene.. Interrupted by a guard lol....Also the combat seems more tactical and fluid.....

Da2 is kinda like a staticness glory game... With poor contents.. And childish design choices... Mature game da2? where? almost a 16+ game...

Honestly, the comparison is just unfair. DA:O and DA2 were both extremely badly written, with a generic setting, stupid characters and dialogues, and an idiotic plot. DA2 even moreso than DA:O. It's hardly a virtue making a game which is better than DA2.
It would be interesting to compare W2 with a good story-driven RPG, however. I really hope that W2 is as good as its graphics.

It will be, I have faith in CD Projekt RED, in TW1 the story was unbelievably awesome, I thought I knew what was going to happen multiple times whilst playing through but the epilogue left be speechless.

Witcher 1 all about the politics of the world. Salamandra was just a small part in a grand scheme it was amazing!

DA2 left people in a bad mood. Witcher 2 looks like it's a tribute to loyal PC gamers. Instead of a dumbed down sequel it's everything we want and more. DA2 other wise was not.

DA:O had a generic plot, but the badly written part ends there. Its characters and some of the politics and decisions were well done. Certainly better than most games, if not on the level of The Witcher.

Yes, but it fells in the "dark fantasy" department. The Witcher 2 can have a generic plot for all I care if they could be as dark as they say they are. DA2 doesn't help either.

It's a convenient way to pad play time though - they're thinly disguised fetch quests (for Alice's card you need to get bread from Charlie etc) that the core demographic (20-ish male) is somewhat more likely to complete than the regular "acquire $number $monster remains for $gold reward" quest (which requires you to first acquire a book on $monster)

These romance 'fetch quests' you talk of constitute about .02% of the game. Try another theory Einstein.

I haven't been following Witcher 2, since the first was soooo stupid. I played the demo, and couldn't get past the first castle...the dialog was so mind numbing, and the combat was horrific. I heard you got playing cards for having sex, and that was kind of the nail in the coffin for me...seriously pathetic.

If Witcher 2 has good combat and has less idiotic dialog, I'll check it out.

I personally found The Witcher 1 to be boring and the combat was slightly off-putting, but I'm willing to give the second one a shot if the reviews are good.

I seriously shiat on my pants when i first saw The Witcher 2.. The world is so beautiful visually, the towns are alive, the forest you hear the ambient sound of creatures and insects. I also watched the gameplay/combat video and it's awesome! You have 3 paths of character development you can choose: swordmans, signs/magic, alchemy. In higher difficulty you actually have to combine magic/signs, oil coatings, traps, the right swords with additionaly properties(like a sword with chance to freeze) against different monsters. Many dislike we compare it with DA2, but in all honesty DA2 is a toddler compared to what i've seen in TW2.

Don't forget, it isn't for consoles therefore it's automatically worse than BioWare games

But they are planning the game on consoles. Even wanted to get the first one on consoles but it didn't  pan out. What happens when it does? Are you all going to abandon it as not a true RPG because it';s been "dumbed down" for the consoles?

And..Cd-project its indipendent... they have respect for theyr fanbase...

I highly doubt that Witcher 2 will come to consoles, a percentage of their fanbase are the rather stuck up PC gamer types and I think we all know how well that would go down with them. Witcher is a PC exclusive franchise, exclusives are becoming rarer so it would cause a part of it's buyers to abandon it as "dumbed down for consoles". It's probably why Witcher 1 didn't come to consoles and it's why Witcher 2 won't come to consoles.

Stuck up pc gamer types aren't going to keep it from consoles, trust me I tried :P. It already has console features implemented ( list inventory, radial menu ) And they said it can run on consoles. I'm sure they planned it from the beginning. Do I like it? No. Only because mulitplatform titles nearly always involve compromises for the pc version.

On the other hand, I hear consoles are a pretty good source of money.

In the long run i think expanding to consoles is a better option than being a PC exclusive franchise. Is it going to please the PC fans? No but you get to welcome in a whole new fanbase and expand your franchise. There's no point in not expanding your buisiness just to appeal to a few people who want to feel their platform is better than everything else nad get butthurt because a title appears on other platforms. There's really no reason why it can't come to the consoles. And if the fans really are fans they won't abandon Cd Projeckt just because they made console versions.

That depends..I can name bunch of games that were ruined by this new audience approach to entertainment and fans were outraged (Deus Ex, UT3 and for more contemporary example Crysis 2) since there is diametrically different mindset in the approach of certain facets to what is considered fun/entertaining by either party. Not to mention there is much more development freedom on PC than on consoles and also a wider audience if the quality is good...for instance take Mass Effect  it sold around 2 mil copies on 2 platforms and Witcher 1 sold 1.7 milion on one... it is just an urban legend that more platforms = more copies sold and therefore more money... if the game is good it can pay for all development and marketing expenses on PC alone...

So does every game company except Activision, but it isn't long before they need to move on to the business aspect of the company.

I have to agree with Remus. To a degree, console and PC represent two very different fan bases. I have doubts it will be popular on consoles, even if it turns out to be a fantastic game.
