That interview is pathetic I agree. But Michał nice punished him for his incompetence.

I mean gaming industry is already generating more money than film, or music.
This is serious business, dam it.

Hmm.. well since the game has already been available for pre-ordering much earlier, i guess it would be a valid question. No?
He thought the game was already in stores, and the interview was done prior to the pre order release.
Actually Michal did say something interesting. Apparently TW1 was made to establish a brand, they did not have any particular financial goals, other than "not to loose money"
Now that they already have a brand, they are able to make more money on every copy sold.
For TW1 it was around 30% on every physical copy (retail price)
For TW2 its 50%. Those are the figures for the US market.
I think it has to do with them being able to negotiate better terms with the publishers, based on the success of TW1.

I'm thinking... really Bioware fans not going to give this game a try? If Bioware could come up with something like Witcher 2 quality with their own settings.. I will be sold too..
But i don't foresee they can do it within 18 months...
Are you talking about the Bio community? To me it seems they care more about the cheesy bi-romances XY.

It's pretty sad that such features are even considered remarkable nowadays. Gothic games had that already in 2001.tmp7704 wrote...

Hell, cities in the Ultima games felt more alive than anything Bethesda or BioWare have done.

Why is it so hard to understand that you need to be a gorrila-woman to be dressed in heavy concealing bucket armor?
A woman like saskia can't handle the weight, she would be pushed over and raped afterwards if she did.
But why does she has to look sexy in it? because everyone wants to look good, even in battle, it shows status and it intimidate the enemy.
No offense, but the bolded bit is based on bull**** spread by Hollywood. Lets destroy some Hollywoodisms involving arms and armour shall we? Preferably with a chainsaw:
Plate armour is so heavy that you needed cranes to get the knight on his horse! This is probably the biggest load of bull**** Hollywood has every made about the medieval period. Even jousting plate was not this heavy, and that was the most over the top plate armour you could find. Not only was plate armour actually quite light, but due to the ingenious methods used by the craftsmen to redistribute the weight such as putting most of the weight of the breastplate on the hips instead of the shoulders, it was also rather comfortable too and allowed a great degree of motion. Not only could the knight get up from the floor just as fast and ably as he would without armour he could pretty much dance in it and there are reports of knights in full plate chasing after archers on foot. The real problem was that plate armour was hot, leading to heat fatigue.
As a result, there is no reason why a woman would not be able to wear a full suit of plate armour, it would just need adjusting for their shape, which would require no more effort than it would to adjust to any man's shape. And no, this does not mean giving the breastplate ****** shapes, on the contrary that is one of the worst things you can put on a piece of armour, since the shape of the ****** would direct blows towards the centre of the breastplate, not away. Most of the slants and fluting on plate armour was not just decorative but was actually designed to deflect blows, the craftsman had a good deal more understanding of physics than most people give them credit for (just take a look at the astounding amount of mechanical and engineering knowledge needed to come up with the siege weapons of the middle ages, they truly understood things more than we realise).
Weapons are big heavy 20 pounders, unbalanced, and used to parry. That is all false, though many of the lies spread about medieval weapons are not only spread by Hollywood but also by so-called fencing 'masters' who were either trying to discredit older styles at the time or were incredibly ignorant on the proper handling of such weapons (many of them tried to wield them like fencing weapons, which of course they were not balanced for and was essentially like trying to use a formula 1 car in an off-road race). Most one-handed swords were about 3-4 pounds and two handed weapons not much heavier at 4-5 pounds. Also, you know how in films the hero is always parrying? No real life warrior would ever use his sword to parry as it would notch the blade, instead he would dodge or use a shield to block, and a fight that lasted 10 seconds was a long one.
For more information on weights of weapons check out the following links:
http://www.thehaca.c...ays/weights.htm
http://www.thearma.o...ssays/2HGS.html
Now let me go off track here and mention something about greatswords: they were often wielded with one holding onto the blade! No seriously, it was called half-swording and many two handers even had an extra handle on the blade as shown below:

Note the sword in the middle has it, and the other two still have a second set of guards at the same place.
Women Warriors were unusual! Not only is Hollywood guilty of this, but sadly other sources too like Tolkien, whose portrayal of women was incorrect for the period he was writing for (yes I know it was fiction but he used a lot of real world influences and cultures too). In Saxon England alone, not only were a large chunk of their heroes and leaders warrior women but female warriors were common enough for it to be nothing unusual. And you can bet your left nut that they wore armour and wielded huge weapons. It wasn't until the arrival of the Normans who brought their misogynistic views with them that the idea that women couldn't be warriors or leaders started, and even after then there were many more warrior women than you may think in england, and elsewhere in the world there were places that female warriors continued to be seen as nothing unusual for quite some time.
Anyway, I bore now, so I'm off. I'll just leave you all with a random fact about katanas:

Folding the steel a thousand times doesn't make the blade super sharp, they did it because the iron ore in Japan was **** and folding (or gelding as the Vikings called it who were already doing it long before) was done to get rid of the impurities.
