The Witcher 2 is 'vastly, vastly better than Dragon age 2'

engine issues resolved in The Witcher 2 means it's more likely this time around to goto consoles, which isn't a bad thing given how they're handling the release (PC version has to be perfect, console ports later)

Recent surveys, questionnaires and polls have shown that the most desired kind of game that 'people' want is a simple, short and yet fun game. 'People' don't want violence, difficult choices and what most important people do not want is morality in games.

everybody likes those kind of games ie: XBLA, that said when people are buying a sit-down rpg that's not exactly what they're expecting, different games for different moods of the day

"think like a general fight like a spartan" or "When you press a button someghing awesome going to happen.. Button Awesome"
Also this silly DLC policy: register your game and you get this...(and this is not bad but) Complete the demo and you unlock that.. Puchase this and we gift you that..Or again Puchase DA2 and we gift you mass effect2... In fact they started to make things in this way...They release a title as Complete.. An empty one.. And if you want have the full game you must puchase all dlc...That add's nothing relevant except the companion one..This is how bioware work right now...
I prefear the CD_project approach.. They respect theyr fanbase and they work with love.... It's always different when you make something only for make money...CD project want make money as well but they put passion and love in their work.. And i respect them for that..

Because who write a thing like that is not a mature person you know? I have a PC and also Console.. Im a proud owner of dragon age origins (you know? the good one) and i also own other quality game for console (like red dead redemption).. The witcher 2 offers much and in the video with can see all the love they put on the project..They respect theyr costumers... So im an elitist because i think DA2 is a rushed horrible game?....Really?
Good im so glad to be addressed at elitist for this reason... also im glad to have not puchased that mess of a sequel called dragon age 2.. Soo i keep my money for a true sequel.....
Bioware now is only: Dragon age-Mass effect
I don't like sci-fi so much i also don like mass effect as an rpg but i must admin that is vastly better than dragon age 2...
You don't like the fact i think the witcher 2 will own in all things dragon age2? fine... but not address me like a elitist o evryone else here.. Or i address you like a kid.. or a very immature person!

They've been bought out by a hardware company I think. If memory serves, the truth of the financial deals is that CD Projekt pretty much became the owner of the other company. CD Projekt has always been a publisher though. They're the ones who translated and published all the IE games in their country, and that's also why they can affort to publish their own version of the game on GOG.Shirosaki17 wrote...

Another
thing, and I'm not sure if it's true, but I thought I read that CD
Projekt either became a corporation or was bought by a corporation. If
that's true then they've already sold out.
That's probably more Namco's doing than CD Projekt's. On the platformShirosaki17 wrote...
It took that stance against DRM then put DRM into the retail version of Witcher 2.
they have complete control on, GOG, the game is completely DRM-free and
comes with really nice bonuses.
Bioware is the big dog, the last 90s remnant when it comes to story-driven RPGs. Obsidian and CD Projektnaughty99 wrote...
I find it interesting how so many view this as a competition between Bioware and CD Projekt.
fans have been trying to gather attention to their favorite company by
calling Bioware overrated for years now. And the reaction of the

Surely there must be things about The Witcher that are more exciting

Hasn't Destructoid gained the dubious award of 'Most Misogynistic Game Website' once? I also heard some female gamers have one big, strong tooth against one of the journalists there.
The Witcher didn't come to consoles because the french company tasked with the port screwed up, it's as simple as that. I doubt that CD Projekt will hesitate to bring their game to the consoles once they have the technical ability to do so. And with a game engine and gameplay that were designed to be easily ported to the consoles, I doubt it will take much longer.Gavinthelocust wrote...
It's probably why Witcher 1 didn't come to consoles and it's why Witcher 2 won't come to consoles.
Well, they got rid of the cards at least. The game's world is still pretty much sexist, with people like White Reyna being the exception instead of the norm. And I highly doubt that Triss and her cabal of female mages' sexism against male mages didn't come about as a reaction to the overall sexism of their societies.casedawgz wrote...
It's probably vastly more sexist, too.
Please, just don't use the 'realism' argument in favor of The Witcher. Also, you probably don't know squat about the Dark Age.DarthCaine wrote...
You think the middle ages were completely filled with chivalrous knights and fair maidens or something?
This is DARK fantasy, not high fantasy like DA or Fable.
The middle ages were filled with wh0res and simple peasants, that wouldn't know the difference between saying thank you and jumping on someone's stick
Geralt being such a ladies' man kind of makes sense in context though : the women are attracted to his exotic look and celebrity, and as a Witcher, immune to venereal disease and completely sterile, he's perfect for one-night stands in a age with no reliable contraceptive measure.

You sure spend alot of time talking about a game you admit you never purchased. Perhaps you should stick to talking about TW2 instead of constantly going on about DA2. This whole DA2 vs. TW2 thing goes both ways and is extremely tiresome.Monica83 wrote...

I don't understand it at all some of you **** and moan about bio then throw up a 2 bit recent jump up company like its on some golden throne, which I think has alot to do with immature "hatin" the man crap. If Bio is such a sell out or DA:2 is crap, then leave.
The Witcher Forums arn't very active. Bio isn't going to go begging on hands and knees for you, and honestly this thread and many like it have been nothing more than these three things
WWAAAAAA BIO is giving into those filthy unwashed kiddie system gamers!
LOOK THIS GAME KNOWS WHERE ITS AT! ITS PC ONLY!~ SUCK IT!
And lastly
LOOK FREE ADVERTISING ON THE SITE FOR A GAME MENT TO RUN IT INTO THE GROUND ON THE SITE THAT GIVES US THE PRIVILEGE OF A PLACE TO POST!
Bioware "fans"....some of you are orney as an alligator, pissed off all the time, anytime, about anything, and everything. I swear when ME:3 comes out it can be the best think ever but I'll wager hate threads will kill the load time on this forum.
