you just said it... BioWare should not care for 1-3 weirdo who want man/man relation <_<

How long have you been on BSN?

There's a lot of people who want M/M romance.

Not one of them that wants it I admit, but I'm not against it either.

Use mods and let dev time on other thing... <_<

Silly person,  DEV time isn't neccesary for gay romances as they character will be Bi in the first place.  Ergo,  the work for the straight romance is already done,  so no extra work.  Just saying.

All this whining about some minor aspect of the game really creeps me out.

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but if that's the case then: Go. Elsewhere.  You're clearly not interested in discussing the issue, so why not find something else that doesn't offend your sensibilities?  I mean, it's not like people will suddenly decide to stop talking about this just because you disapprove.

True, but that was not the point. I wanted to let all those people know that they are a bunch of whiners. See the DA2 forum for people whining about M/M romance options that are in the game. It doesn't change anything, I know, but it is good to have it of my chest that all those people are knitpicking and it isn't relevant. Some people just aren't gay. I'm fine with how people want to be but really hate all this focus on something silly. Want to romance a man? Play a female. Making Shep gaypossible is like making the terminator gay just to please those 5% of the populus. So again, don't expect any change, eitherway, Shep is just not gay.

I say they leave male homosexuality out of ME 3. ME 1 and 2 did fine without it.

No need to mess with the romance formula on the last leg of the journey. If they want to try it with their next saga in the Mass Effect universe, I have no problem with it.

What difference does it make?  If you're okay with it in a "next saga" then you should be okay with it in ME3.  It makes no sense to say or imply that adding M/M relationships now would in any way alter the game, especially since it's all optional content.

And what formula?
ME1 = 1 male straight option, 1 female straight option, 1 female bi option
ME2 = 3 male straight options, 3 females straight options, two pseudo-bisexual female options, and one bisexual female option.

They changed the formula with quantities; they changed the formula with Samara; they changed the formula with Morinth; they changed the formula with Kelly.  And in my opinion those formula changes were awesome, especially Kelly.

So, yeah, saying "ME1 and ME2 did okay without M/M so it shouldn't be in there" is an argument equivalent to saying nothing should ever change in a game series.  And that's a load of horse puckey.

Some people "just aren't gay", and yet some are.  As such,  I see no reason why Shepherd couldn't be one of those people that are.  There is no reason why some peoples Shepherds can be gay,  while,  your Shepherd remains straight as an arrow.

How is this something "silly?"  and our focus typically stays locked away in this thread it's not like were posting fifteen threads a day about this topic.  If you don't want to see it because you find the suggestion irrational it easy enough to simply ignore the thread.

The idea of making a character female to romance Shepherd doesn't work for many,  some may not want to play a female character (You'll find a lot of people who aren't comftorable playing the other gender.)  Also,  it is a heterosexual relationship which believe it or not makes some homosexuals as uncomftorable as heterosexuals viewing/partaking in homosexual romance.

Also, making the terminator gay doesn't make any sense,  but, neither does making it straight either.

The Terminator can pursue interactive romances? Did he also have gay relations available to him at the start of the production?

You are right.
On the same note they should leave not human husks out, little sense to add them on the last leg, right ?
And we should not see any of the homeworlds, since little sense adding them on the last leg, right ?
there should be no new powers, or changes to old powers or weapons, since it has little sense to do so on the last leg, right ?

Being gay is not the same thing as being a female.

And when was the Terminator ever the protagonist of an roleplaying game where the the protagonist was customizable in gender, face, background, alignment, love interest and class?

5%? That's a crap statistic, and straight RPers would like to have have a word with you.

I don't think this forum is very active anymore, but I want to throw my opinion out there none the less...
(I didn't bother reading all 37 pages, I apologize.)

I read on the internet somewhere (http://digitalhippos...o-mass-effect-3) that Shepard being bi or gay would be like a storyline, him/her coming out of the closet. I am not sure of the authenticity of this information, but I think such an idea would be great! Those arguing that Shepard is straight due to his interactions in the first game could be proven wrong, should such an idea be used. The link says that the idea is only a rumor, but still...

This needs to be brought to somebody's attention: Gay characters in video games have a down side. Seriously. The more gay characters there are, the more gay-bashing fantasies for absurd homophobes. There are gamers out there who have quite the body count of gay prostitutes in the various towns in Fable, Fable II and Fable III. They do it for stats.

You do realize that your argument makes exactly as much sense as trying homosexuals as communist sympathizers because communists might blackmail them for being gay, right?

Actually I didn't make an argument, I made a report.

Because if there's anything that Modern Society does best, it is pandering to the lowest common denominator.
